This is a form of hoarding.
Do I win something?

At least she wasn't forced to do it.

Sorry, subby, but that headline kind of flopped. It's an over-quoted, mostly irrelevant, dated movie reference. That's not even how the lead-up lines go...

Cool of the grandma, though.

Dammit she CROCHETED them, not knitted, huge difference.

Still very cool!

2011-12-22 02:02:05 PM
And if they're anything like the kids I know, every one of them will be 'too cool' to wear a crocheted scarf.

Big deal. Looks like she crocheted them with a boat hook. It probably took an afternoon.

/If you're working in anything larger than three millimeters, you're either in elementary school or a slacker.

That's pretty big talk for someone who can only handle one needle at a time.

/knitter
/okay I crochet too but I can't resist starting craft fights

Next year she should do just a couple of Doctor Who scarves and wrap most of the kids in it all the same time.

/wears the 4th Doctor scarf that my mother in law made

I have tried to tell people, knitters and crocheters are mortal enemies, its like the bloods and the crips.
although I am aware that 2 pointy metal sticks would beat a dull hook any time

Never said I was a crochet person. Crochet is for servants, the Irish, and others who are two dim to work with more than one stick. But I repeat myself.

Does igniting Red Heart yarn count?

My girlfriend knitted the fourth Doctor's scarf last year. This year I think she is going to be knitting the Knives Chou scarf from Scott Pilgrim.

I'm 41 and I agree with the kids...unless you're Dr. Who, you look pretty stupid wearing a scarf. I'll stick with my neck gaiter:

The only way to get a knitter and a crocheter on the same side is to unite them with their loathing (or love) for cheap acrylic yarn. Wool vs. acrylic fights are hilarious.
