Heh, and those aren't even that dumb.

2011-12-22 11:38:57 AM
David Cameron provided a lot better material than this pap. The English can go fark themselves.

2011-12-22 11:58:14 AM
Half-truths, as usual. Why does a 2-bit british rag target the US president so much? it's not like they don't have such a rich source of lulz in their PM.

Or right, they don't like the darkies either.

2011-12-22 11:59:29 AM
Holy fark that list is weak and retarded.

They actually used the "English Embassy" quote where Obama corrected himself in the same bloody sentence. This is dumbest quotes they could come up from an entire administration. Either they aren't trying hard enough or you have one the most sensible administrations in the history of US politics.

Marcus Aurelius: David Cameron provided a lot better material than this pap. The English can go fark themselves.

That takes amazing flexibility. I blame rickets.

2011-12-22 12:04:31 PM
Holy fark, they're just gonna keep on going with the 4th best president thing.
He didn't say that. He said that the amount and scope of bills he was able to help pass in his first two or three years is more then comparable to any other presidents except for 2 or 3 others. Looking at what he's done, rather you agree they are good things or bad things, and it's clear that yes, he was able to accomplish more, in less time, then most presidents. I would even add Bush Jr. to the mix simply due to the sweeping changes 9/11 brought about. Doesn't mean I think Bush was one of the top presidents in our country, just means he got a lot done.

Now, let's see. The Taliban was never our real enemy. They didn't attack us, al-Qaeda did. We attacked Afghanistan because the Taliban were letting them operate out of their country and doing nothing to prevent it. The Taliban, unlike al-qaeda, have shown a willingness to negotiate, change, and even share power in a democratically elected government if given the chance.

I have a hard time giving a damn what the fark John Bolton says about anything. His idea of how to fix the problems in Egypt were for the protesters to go home and stop trying to stand up for their rights. Democracy isn't military rule either Mr. Dumb As a Brick Bolton.

Yes there is a difference between being Anti-Semitic and not liking Israel. Just because I say something critical of Israel doesn't mean I hate Jews.

Mubarack giving up power in Egypt was something no one saw coming.

English embassy....He corrected himself literally seconds after he said it. fark off. It is not uncommon to refer to UK as the English informally. Yes, it's not right, but it happens.

Nile Gardiner is a Washington-based foreign affairs analyst and political commentator. He appears frequently on American and British television and radio, including Fox News Channel, CNN, BBC, Sky News, and NPR.

Ah, it makes sense now.

President Obama gave Britain the boot once again when he declared France to be America's strongest ally during a White House press opportunity with Nicolas Sarkozy (view the C-Span video at 2:45 for the remark.) As I noted at the time, quite what the French have done to merit this kind of high praise from the US president is difficult to fathom,

They did win the revolutionary war for us...

2011-12-22 12:29:24 PM
Subby, you only make a top 10 when there are lots of options to choose from. For the GOP candidates, for example, you would make a top 10 list of dumb quotes. This is just a list of 10 things

CPennypacker: Subby, you only make a top 10 when there are lots of options to choose from. For the GOP candidates, for example, you would make a top 10 list of dumb quotes. This is just a list of 10 things

The GOP candidates are a "top 10 dumbest" list.

2011-12-22 12:31:18 PM
Great, now I'm dumber having read that. That wasn't a fun way to kill brain cells.

2011-12-22 12:32:21 PM
As I noted at the time, quite what the French have done to merit this kind of high praise from the US president is difficult to fathom

Well, they didn't give us bad intel to drive us to war with Iraq so that puts them ahead of the Brits.

2011-12-22 12:32:52 PM
And now I will draft a hit piece on the 10 dumbest things said by the Prime Minister. Oh wait, that's right, I don't know anything about your government nor do I care.

USA! USA! USA!

2011-12-22 12:34:47 PM
That wasn't the least bit biased. No siree.

2011-12-22 12:35:23 PM
The real DUMBASS tag is for the Republican Party and its constant flow of derp.

2011-12-22 12:35:47 PM
I clicked the article link for the Lulz. Left disappointed. Wow, is that the best they could come up with? I guess Obama and Biden really are doing a good job if a newspaper has to try and stretch things that much to come up with 10 "dumb" Obama admin quotes.

2011-12-22 12:37:17 PM
Seriously, TFA is unmitigated dumbfarkery. The first one on the list is probably the weakest, too.

Of course, my feeling compelled to come here and state the obvious is what TFA is really about in the first place. Because in about 3 minutes, the derp brigade will show up and sing from their derpity hymnals about how the "Obots" and "Libtards" have no sense of humor, and must defend the "Dear Leader" at all costs.

That's the narrative they keep pushing. If you dare to answer the lies, it's your character flaw.

Somehow, this shiat never gets boring to them.

2011-12-22 12:42:44 PM
I have to agree with the author.

Those are the 10 dumbest things they've said.

2011-12-22 12:44:27 PM
"I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president - with the possible exceptions of Johnson, FDR, and Lincoln..." = "I am the 4th best President ever???"

List fails right out of the gate.

2011-12-22 12:46:02 PM
Whenever anyone criticizes the President for his position as the Hindmost, I like to point people towards the Onion article entitled: "Bush Bravely Leads 3rd Infantry into Battle"

Say what you will about Barak Obama, he's no Cesare Borgia.

2011-12-22 12:46:09 PM
Attempting to be bipartisan with the Republicans doesn't count as amazingly dumb?

2011-12-22 12:47:00 PM
According to a reliable political barometer, the Obama "dumb look" photo isn't nearly as dumb-looking as the Dubya "dumb look" photo(s).

5. White House adviser touts Obama's "leading from behind"
One of his advisers described the President's actions in Libya as "leading from behind."

If only he had led us from the front in Libya, we could have had troops dying there for ten years. Damn you Fartbongo!

2011-12-22 12:47:37 PM
Sock Ruh Tease: Oh look, it's this guy again.

Jeez, no kidding. Hit piece after hit piece with this guy.

2011-12-22 12:48:54 PM
This list seems like partisan crap. Not honest to god stupid sayings. What tripe.

2011-12-22 12:49:29 PM
That was a pretty stupid list. The reporter comes across as a giggling schoolgirl.

2011-12-22 12:54:10 PM
As he travlled across all 57 states, Obama learned that England is a country that includes the territories of Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.

2011-12-22 12:54:40 PM
tomcatadam: Attempting to be bipartisan with the Republicans doesn't count as amazingly dumb?

Yeah, I'm sure there are a couple of "I have every faith in the Republican leadership that we can reach across the aisle and find compromise, we all want was is best for our country" gems out there, on everything from healthcare to debt ceiling to taxes.

2011-12-22 12:55:22 PM
Wow, if that's the ten worst then I am reassured we are being governed by Nobel Laureates, Nerosurgeons and Rocket scientists

2011-12-22 12:59:01 PM
The last few kinda sputtered out. They could have made a top 5 and had a better list.

2011-12-22 01:00:10 PM
beta_plus: Obama learned that England is a country that includes the territories of Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.

Do the Irish know about this?

British farkers,

A while back one of you gents posted a list of how your numerous dailies tied to your political spectrum.

Telegraph = Tory, correct?

I read through that and said "really if that's the 10 dumbest things they cound find, we're doing pretty good"

2011-12-22 01:03:51 PM
The authors take: 7. The US Ambassador to Belgium blames Israel for some forms of anti-Semitism
What was actually said: "A distinction should be made between traditional anti-Semitism, which should be condemned, and Muslim hatred for Jews, which stems from the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians,"

Does the idiot who wrote this piece actually believe that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict contributes absolutely nothing to the violence in the region, or does he just think that Israel is completely blameless?

Very much so. And, it seems, increasingly retarded.

Look, just don't tell them, right? Things have gone along swimmingly so long as they don't know, and the last time someone told them there was quite a hullabaloo, quite worse than a football scrimmie. It works out best all around, I promise.

I blame News International for bringing the derp to the UK as well.

In #7, is the Telegraph trying to argue that the existence of a Jewish Israel is NOT a factor in the prevalence of antisemitism in the Middle East?

What rational human being in the world would make this argument?

2011-12-22 01:08:48 PM
I always read the Obamateurism of the day on Hotair.com They get so many submissions from this idiot in chief that they can't begin to post all of them...

I should expand. The Telegraph used to be where you would go for an intelligent rightist perspective. But they don't seem to be able to manage that any more. Hm.

Disappointing. I like the intelligent right.

2011-12-22 01:19:24 PM
I bet we can come up with a better top 10 stupid things Republicans have said.

I'd like to start with 3
(I'll have to research to get the exact quotes and references)

1) ...not intended as a factual statement
2) ... Your Lie
3) ... It doesn't matter what I do, people just need to hear what I have to say. (may be hearsay. I will double check)

2011-12-22 01:20:16 PM
Barack Obama calls France America's strongest ally

Pandering? In my politics?

Yeah I like other alternate realities I can't access, too. Such as the one where I'm rich and famous.

That all you got?

Top 10 Bushisms:

1) "There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again." -Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

2) "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." -Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

3) "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?" -Florence, S.C., Jan. 11, 2000

4) "They misunderestimated me." -Bentonville, Ark., Nov. 6, 2000

5) "Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." -Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sept. 6, 2004

6) "You work three jobs? ... Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." -to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005

7) "I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." -Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000

8) "I hear there's rumors on the Internets that we're going to have a draft." -second presidential debate, St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 8, 2004

9) "I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family." -Greater Nashua, N.H., Jan. 27, 2000

10) "Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream." -LaCrosse, Wis., Oct. 18, 2000

Moopy Mac: In #7, is the Telegraph trying to argue that the existence of a Jewish Israel is NOT a factor in the prevalence of antisemitism in the Middle East?

Best I can figure, he'd really like it to be true that Iran is motivated by the same ideas as Nazi Germany, or some similar nonsense that leads to war against them.

2011-12-22 01:29:07 PM
What a wonderful list. =/

2. Joe Biden compares the Tea Party to terrorists

They do act like terrorists. They borderline threaten violence if they do not get their way. This is what a terrorist does.

3. Barack Obama calls France America's strongest ally

So a UK paper rag is butthurt that Obama likes France more?

5. White House adviser touts Obama's "leading from behind"

"It emerged in a major New Yorker piece published in May assessing the president's approach on Libya and the Arab Spring, and has since been widely used to mock the Obama administration's weak-kneed foreign policy"
Considering it sorted itself out alot quicker than if we would've intervened in a more direct manner...

7. The US Ambassador to Belgium blames Israel for some forms of anti-Semitism

Israel isn't helping themselves here, or rather they are and that's the problem.

10. Barack Obama refers to the "English Embassy" in Tehran

I can maybe understand this a little better, but it seems to be a nitpicky. Any given American will refer to the UK as England more than they will call it the UK. I know the Scots and Welsh and Irish (northern that is) will take issue with it. It just seems like something chosen so that this article could have a tenth item for its top ten.
