Better version here, just without Brian Cox on the piano.

Well, yeah... But then my headline wouldn't have worked... :)
I've got to say though, that in trying to find the best version of this I could, I've listened to the song about 5 times in a row and I just love it. It's probably the only christmas song that I've ever wanted to hear more than once, let alone repeatedly.

I. Love. Cox.
Seriously I would just spend all my life gazing at him and drooling while he was telling me all about stars.

That's what she said. Oh wait...

I couldn't see enough of anything to have a reaction to question my sexuality about. On a scale of 1-10 on sexuality questioning events I'd rate this a two. With first time seeing RuPaul as 1 and seeing the Egyptian king for the first time on Stargate as 10.

The Crying Game takes it up to 11...

Oh, can I totally be that guy and throw in my version of this song that I made for my family last year?

I saw Minchin perform this live in NYC in November. I had just had my son (not, like, that DAY, but recently), and his performance was so moving I started crying and demanded to be taken home to my little boy immediately. Missed the last encore, but it was such a wonderful concert.

Tim Minchin is my favorite human on the planet outside my immediate family. If you don't know about him I encourage you to check him out. Brilliantly funny with message. As for Brian I have a hard time not hearing him say "wonder". I think he said it about a million times on his last series.

Every time I hear this song I cry. I've got an ocean between myself and my family, and no other Xmas song captures how I feel about Christmas than this one. I love Christmas, and the first time I heard this song I stopped feeling guilty about loving Christmas and just enjoyed it.
/atheist who loves you all!

British Farkers, Tim is donating all sales of White Wine in the Sun this month to the National Autistic Society (per his Twitter feed).

How are two blobs on a far away stage supposed to make me doubt my sexuality? How did this get greenlit?

This past June, I got to see Tim perform live up at Lincoln Hall in Chicago. Heard most of the songs he did on youtube (how I learned about him in the first place), though "cont" was new to me. So glad he picked White Wine to close the night. As good as his humorous songs are, this one tugs at all the right heart strings.

/Buy the song since proceeds are donated to charity.
//And Lincoln Hall was great; back row, but the place was so tiny it was like a front row seat anywhere else

First I've heard of Tim Minchin - I love this guy! I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and ordered two copies of his CD/DVD for late Christmas presents.
Thanks for the link!

Am I the only one who thinks Prof. Brian Cox looks like a lesbian?
(he's that vaguely human-looking collection of pixels on the left)

I was a this wonderful show.
Tim was whisked over on the back of a motorcycle after taping an appearance on the Jonathan Ross show. His appearance was cut because it was deemed offensive.

Here it is. (new window)

Happy Christmas

Saw Tim Minchin play this in Austin earlier this year. Then we all sang "Hallelujah" together.

Tim Minchin is ok, but I prefer Bowie's solo work
