Christian McBride plays a cool bass solo version of Just the Two of Us as the hidden track on the Philadelphia Experiment album. I love it. Link (new window)

"Christian McBride plays a cool bass solo version of Just the Two of Us as the hidden track on the Philadelphia Experiment album."

Very cool! I was lucky enough to see him and his band perform at the Iowa City Jazz Festival a few years ago. The guy's a monster musician, and quite a showman. It was a great, fun show. I also met him after his set. Nice guy.

I would consider him as one of the current greats of jazz.

I totally agree. He and Stanley Clarke are probably my two favorite current jazz bassists.

I'm playing "Calypso Breakdown" now as a tribute. One of my favorite instrumentals.

/Parents owned The Soundtrack (record)
