My god! Someone should send our military in there to restore democracy and freedom!

This is Jack's complete lack of surprise.

Sunni muslims Vs.Shi'ite muslims killings ? must be Thursday.

Now, I'm waiting for the thread where we discuss Iran's most recent invasion of Iraq, now that we're not there anymore...

FREEDOM!

"ain't they all Muslims?"

-- George W Bush, completely unaware of Iraq's sectarian violence

Subby's headline is probably meant to be sarcastic, but I honestly do feel this way. What are we supposed to do, send the troops back in?

2011-12-22 09:20:30 AM
Can we just change the name on the map to NOPA already?

I hope so.
.

2011-12-22 09:20:35 AM
So everything is going exactly the way we expected it to. fark you, Iraq.

2011-12-22 09:20:43 AM
Nice job Fartbammy.

2011-12-22 09:20:50 AM
What did everyone expect would happen? The tribes that have been warring since thousands of years before America existed would commence swapping yarns and trading baked goods recipes?

2011-12-22 09:20:50 AM
Bush and Obama discovered the same issue that Richard The Lionheart discovered during the Crusades.

You may be able to TAKE a city but try KEEPING a city

Actually, if the world was not a farked-up piece of shiat, that logic would probably mean that they wouldn't be killing each other.

Explosions before we leave

Explosions after we leave.

Can't wait to hear Boehner, Romney, Gingrich, Palin, Trump, Kardashian and Cantor all lamenting about us leaving and claiming these people's blood is on Obama's hands.

2011-12-22 09:21:44 AM
And the Republicans blame Obama in 3...2...

Years of occupation, hundreds of thousands of lives and trillions of dollars have only postponed what comes next.

Meh, only the Romans could keep order in a place like that and the United States is not Rome.

2011-12-22 09:23:03 AM
So, how long until we re-invade to re-liberate them and re-pacify the country?

It was clear they were just waiting for us to leave to descend into civil war.

2011-12-22 09:23:12 AM
F*cktards that are killing each other based on who's sky wizard is the best? Sounds good to me. Too bad there wasn't a live video feed to watch, I would to see it live.

2011-12-22 09:23:37 AM
I thought they'd greet us as liberators, and throw roses and fine chocolates at our feet. You mean they're warring factions that have been warring for centuries, and will continue warring long after the US's involvement in that shiat-hole is a footnote in a history book?

You don't say. Why, it's like we could have seen this coming. Or something.

Jimmy Carter gave us a radicalized islamic Iran.

Obamah, in a year, will have given the world a radicalized islamic Egypt, Libya, Syria and with all troops removed from Iraq, it too will fall victim to islamic radicalization.

That's some foreign policy you have there Bari.

Didn't have to, but then we would have had to be there for another 20 years. Yes to occupy and stabilize a country like Iraq you need to occupy the son of a biatch in force for a dam generation. Any analyst worth a shiat could have told you that way back in 2002, you know when the case was being made to invade that shiat hole and liberate those mouth breathing barbarians.

Somebody's dad said something about why he didn't take out someone because of the sectarian something-or-other someplace.

Iraq now needs some hard line tough guy to run things with an iron fist.

You know...the kind of guy who would say something like:

"FROM NOW ON....I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL BE DOING ANY KILLING"

Well the conspiracy nut part of me says this is just a prelude to getting Iran to screw with or even invade Iraq so a US led coalition has a reason to invade Iran.

2011-12-22 09:25:56 AM
So..... how is anyone better off as a result of us being over there?

/besides the arms manufacturers, I mean.

signaljammer: Saddam was filling some rather large shoes.

I remember talking to a law school classmate whose familiy still lived in Iraq about the war just as it broke out. He had no love for Hussien-he'd actually murdered an uncle of his- but even back then he was EXTREMELY pessimistic that things would get better once Saddam was gone. In fact, he was convinced for his family and relatives (Iraqi Christians) that the nightmare was just begining.

The last 8 years have , sadly, proved him to be a prophet

2011-12-22 09:26:16 AM
What I want to know is who, other than the Shrub and Faux News idiots, did not see this coming in February/March of 2003?

2011-12-22 09:27:17 AM
Just so it's not my fault. I hope they have fun blowing themselves up, and I'd gladly sell them anything they need to do it.

2011-12-22 09:27:24 AM
Iraq will now tear itself to pieces until it looks like Silent Hill.

You mean like Sadam and the Baathists did?

Like the Soviet Union did with the Balkan states?

One generation of iron fisted ruler-ship does not erase hundreds of years of hatred. It just does not.

Oh wow. They are farking children. As usual, white flight is to blame.

2011-12-22 09:28:43 AM
So with the US removed from the equation, they still act insane. Suprise suprise suprise.

Seriously, has anyone ever met a relatively sane, moderate thinking arab? Even if they don't blow shiat up for Allah, they live and think like primitive cave people. The world would be a better place without them, and I aint even Jewish.
