Came here to say this. Unless there's absolutely no chance anyone will notice you're gone, stay with your vehicle! Since it sounds like she wasn't geared up to go skiing or ice-climbing, she did the smartest thing she could. Although you'd think she could have charged her cell phone off the car...

Staying with the car may still have the better choice though, considering she didn't have any winter clothing with her.
