Ambien is nothing to fark around with. Seriously, I took it one night, and woke up a short time later to take another one, thinking that I had forgotten to take it, rinse and repeat like ten times. THEN I decided it was a good idea to take a bath on top of all that.

/ended up in the psych ward a couple days cause if that.

t isn't dangerous to walk sleepwalkers, contrary to popular belief, though they will be disoriented for some time while they regain their bearings.

See, I've always heard that you're not supposed to walk them.

Huh.

There are too many people out there taking too many drugs to treat too many conditions that they don't really have.

Why is this shiat legal? You hear stories kike this all the time.

If Ambien was some herbal sleep medicine, they would be screaming to ban it because of all the horror stories about how it can go hideously wrong.

However, since Big Pharma paid a fortune to research it and get it to market, the farked-up shiat of what Ambien can do to you is perfectly acceptable.

You had what is called a "paradoxial effect." Any drug has a certain percentage of people that will have the exact opposite effect as normal. I have given Benadryl to over a hundred patients with allergic reactions via IV, and most drop out almost immediately and start drooling on themselves. Every once in a while, though, you get a person having crazy jitters, hyperactivity, and almost a manic personality.

Its always weird, and sometimes entertaining.

I've had other medications do the same thing, minus the high. Zoloft was the absolute worst. It made me straight up crazy.

Because uncle sam foresaw the global population problem decades ago and they are subversively killing people any way they can, that's why. And he's one racist b*tch.

Throwing minorities in prison for decades over non-violent drug possession is the only way to stop them from breeding like rabbits.

I take it, working night shift, found it damn near impossible to sleep during the day. Had one odd experience. I just woke up and asked my wife for 20 dollars for gas, she says she all ready gave it to me. Was like WTF no you didn't, my father was there at the time and said ya' she did. You asked for it, she gave it to you. Later found the 20 dollars in my pocket. To this day I have no recollection of her giving me the money or me even asking for it. Only bad thing to happen to me...that I can remember. hmmmm.

FTFA: The autopsy ruled Ms Ferrero's death an accident, though it will take several weeks for results of the toxicology report.

Medications such as sleep aid Ambien have been known to cause sleepwalking.

Besides the writer throwing in that little Ambien factoid, nothing in the story states that Charlene Ferrero was on Ambien. I guess subby should have stuck with "I'm not saying it's Ambien" until the toxicology comes back.

Because 99% of people have no I'll effects. I take Ambien a couple nights a week, I've had problems sleeping for thirty years. Never had any issues with it. Fantastic.

Also great for working around jet lag. Whenyouretrying to go to sleep at three pm internal clock time, it's helps to have assistance.

Also "Another sever at the diner said she couldn't believe Ms Ferrero didn't wake up once she hit the water."

I'm not even sure what that means in this context.

A friend of mine has to put his car keys in his safe when he takes Ambien after he had an episode where he woke up in his car after having driven to the airport.

He found himself in the parking garage with no wallet and in his pajamas and no way to pay to get out of the garage. The airport is a 20 minute drive for him.

And he's a pilot. Commercial, but not large passenger. Just small business jets.

Said it scared the shiat out of him because he didn't recall any of it.

Scary stuff. I have a friend who was a sleepwalker and was out camping in colorado 20 years ago and walked off a cliff. His brother and best friend woke up the nexty morning and could not find him and finally did after they saw the body a couple hundred feet below.

I wonder what the actual percentage is. I suspect it's fewer than 99% that have no ill effects (sleep walking is not the only side effect)

It would be great if these side effects were more predictable too. I don't like taking any kind of drug for fear of side effects and I think one time I may have actually experienced them by the power of suggestion - I filled a prescription, popped a pill and went online to research what I had just eaten. I don't suppose I'll ever know for sure, but i didn't take any more after that.

All the info I see when I research stuff seems to just list possible side effects, not prevalence. Sometimes they say some of the side effects only occur in "rare" cases, but WTF is "rare"? And that means the other side effects aren't "rare"?

Awesome.

If the prohibitionist trend of referring to certain psychoactive drugs as "medicine" to escape the law would stop, we would all see that Ambien is among the worst. I long for a day when doctors are doctors, and dealers are dealers, and both have their place in society, rather than the absurd prohibitionist lies of the psychiatric establishment.

/Let me guess - you're going to call me a crypto-Scientologist. Well, I've got news for you: L. Ron Hubbard was on psych meds all his life. Psychiatrists run Scientology and always have!

Yes that is bullshiat. But in higher amounts, meaning far more booze and hydrocodone,it can kill you. Plus vicodin has acetaminophen in it too so plenty of that and alot of booze won't be very nice to your liver. Stay safe and have fun.

I'm like this with Prozac. Three doses of Prozac (roughly one day's worth) had me move from kind of depressed to actually making a plan to do it.
