Yeah, it's kind of hit or miss. It depends on how the website sets up their slideshow I think.

It's always worth the 10 seconds it takes to try. At least you're not wasting minutes clicking through a slide show.

With very few exceptions it mostly depends on the domain in the URL.
If it matches one of those listed at the bottom of the site's main page under "Slideshows from the following sites might work".

Fark has sucked lately, even their pages seem to load forever and I have to manually stop them.

Still happens sometimes even after I stopped all add-ons.
