I see no smoker, I see no wood.

If this operation is all gas grills and crock pots they are not BBQ. I'm sure the those frail north eastern people fall for it. But not me. Not. Me.

Well that is bigger then the largest one I've seen. There was a BBQ food truck that was actually converted from a full size tour bus. Had a smoker and everything.

The menu rolls out pulled pork, ribs, brisket and chicken along with fresh cut fries and homemade potato salad. It's 68-feet of barbecue badness and it could just put Pennsylvania on the barbecue map.

FAIL.
Let me start this off with I am from PA, originally, too.
YOU CANNOT SERVE BBQ WITH OUT COLE SLAW AND EXPECT RESPECT.

also, I wager their sauce sucks.

There are a lot of unique food products in PA.

But when someone tries to "Fusion" a menu to localize it, it fails.

/Lives in Vermont now, and I'd not shed a tear if the local "Ver-Mexican" restaurant conflagrated overnight.

There are a lot of unique food products in PA.

Come see the 68 foot long Amish food wagon!

Chicken and Rivels, just like grandma made them...

Plus the worlds largest vat of apple butter!

And scrapple, scrapple, SCRAPPLE!

We're gonna turn the dirt floor of this pole barn into a giant MUD PIT!

Bring your lap rugs, bring your hex signs but leave the cameras home!

Brought to you by Yoders Goose Grease and the fine folks at Swarzentruber Saddlery...

What part of the two quotes below do you not understand?

"BA BBQ turns 18-wheeler into food truck with 10 grills, wood smoker"

"On board the trailer is an open kitchen equipped with 10 grills and a custom wood-fueled smoker large enough to cook two whole hogs and 300 whole chickens"

It's not a picture book. There are actually words in the article.

Do tell, how are North Eastern people frail?

Seeing as it's being billed as BBQ, I can only assume they're smoking it over mesquite.

This doesn't look like a large smoker but more like a large mobile food prep trailer with grills and a smoker (FTA). David Klose out of Houston built a smoker featured on History Channel's Modern Marvels that is 48ft long and 60in diameter that can smoke 6000 lbs of meat at a time. The article mentions being able to handle 2 whole hogs and 300 whole chickens which is 500 lbs plus 1500 lbs (I'm being generous with the weights) and that's only 1/3 of the Klose monster. Pics and more details here (new window)

If you're going to fry seafood, you should fry it Calabash style. And Calabash-style seafood goes with hushpuppies and Brunswick stew. That's the North Carolina way.

hush puppies > Potato salad > cole slaw

Why do they need the 10 grills? What are the grills for? Grills are for grilling. Grills are not for BBQ. They are not dedicated ENOUGH.

And yea, frail, like the food, and the political candidates that come from that area.

From the headline I thought it was a big truck that drove over and crushed the rival, smaller trucks. And that they wanted to make this the premise of a TV show. I'm somewhat disappointed.
