Barricaded Gunman: mitchcumstein1: You could go to youtube and put his name in and see about 20 different videos.

I suppose I could do that, but I'm talking about watching SNL here, not digging deeper into the archives to discuss why Jay Pharoah deserves more airtime. I'm sure Finesse Mitchell and Charles Rocket had their moments, too, but I'm basing my opinions on the subject material I've been given.

He's been on the show for a season and a half, the ONLY thing he's done is impressions, which is what he's known for, and what his act is. That would lead me to believe it's really the only thing he can do. Which is great, but isn't going to get you on the show very often.

bdub77: Btw did anyone get the Folgers commercial while watching some of these? Pretty sure that dude and his sister are banging.

The first time I saw that commercial, I was totally skeeved out because I got the exact same vibe. Then I realized if that was my sister, sitting there in those little pajama pants smiling at me as I just got home from a long deployment, I'd probably want to bend her over the counter too. But if she served me Folger's, I'd punch her right in her smelly pirate hooker mouth.

xalres: Much as I sometimes dislike Wiig, especially her one-note recurring characters, I laughed until my face hurt at her "Flirting Expert" bit on Weekend Update two weeks back.

I laughed like a dumbass too. I absolutely love Bill Hader and especially Stefon. I think I have a farked up sense of humor but I can't even imagine what kind of brain comes up with the shiat they do. I seriously clap my hands like a circus seal when Stefon comes on.

Pocket Ninja: The proper reply to this headline, of course, is that you were neither going to sarcastically ask about SNL still being on nor comment about how it hasn't been good since whenever because you don't even have a television and haven't ever even watched the show.

I suppose some people would come in to make that post, if they were the type of person who still thought the internet was cool now that it's sold out and gone mainstream. But some of us have completely disconnected from all media, and don't have the internet anymore, so we can't post on fark. It's the new thing. You probably haven't heard of it.

Mucus Mule: I like the current cast.
Hate Gilly.

GILLY?
GILLY?
GILLY.

It astounded me that they could put on a primetime ALL Gilly special. WTF?

twobux: None of these sketches are as funny as any Stefon appearance.

You shut your whore mouth, the Michael Bolton song was the funniest thing they've done in years on context alone.

//SNL's actually been pretty good the last few years. I mean, about half of the skits fall flat, but every sketch comedy show ever had about that fail rate.

They need to make a Stefon movie.

That page made my NoScript asplode. Is there there anything actually worth watching?

What a [Kahlúa] great opportunity [Kahlúa] to revisit [Kahlúa] some of SNL's [Kahlúa] best moments of the year.

Delicioso!

Taran Killiam is the best thing to happen to SNL in ages.

I haven't watched SNL since it was funny.

Only skit I remember is Something Smells Good in Stinkville. Still makes me chuckle when I think about it.

PghThermal: I haven't watched SNL since it was funny.

So, two or three times an episode?

This...

SNL has gotten so much funnier since the invention (and my personal acquisition) of DVR technology.

Where's the new Mr. Show? Or Kids in the Hall? Hell, SCTV!? Even some Mad TV skits....

All of them were better than the pablum humor of SNL. SNL has no edge, no quirkiness in their humor, no soul.

It sucks.

fusillade762: blackminded: If Armisen quits after this season to play the drums put a bird on it.

FTFY.

I snorted.

I think the Frech Bistro dances are funny. Miley Cyrus did one and Emma Stone did one

Me too. And I squeal like a 12 year old at a Beiber concert.

Hader explained to Letterman how he came up with Stefon (new window). I don't know if you want to avoid ruining the magic or if it'll enhance the funniness to you. It makes it funnier to me, knowing that people like him really do exist.

I thought that was Penelope Cruz the first few times I zipped past those commercials on fast forward.
