I know how long she's been around...I meant that it looks like she's seriously farked up - drunk or drugged up. Sadly that's not all that uncommon for her

I know it is wrong to judge something without actually listening to it, but considering that Macy Gray is the most

/true story: I knew Macy in grade school, back when her name was Natalie McIntyre. She was very quiet and shy, as I recall.

I liked it. I'm all for a fresh rendition, and considering metal covers of metal songs usually sound weak (yes there are wondrous exceptions), I'll take an R&B version of it. I didn't watch the video, mind you; I just listened.

I like their older stuff and liked this Soul cover just fine. New Metallica has sucked loudly.

Well, on that video. All their YouTube vids combined are probably around 50k in those three years.

And yes, I shot the video, shameless plug, "my favorite band you've never heard of is better than your favorite band that nobody has ever heard of" etc.

Was just the first video I found on my list that would wash out the Macy Gray vid. I actually like some of Macy's stuff, but this was horrible. To me.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I didn't think it sucked. I thought it was kinda refreshing. They kept it very minimalist, they didn't try to make a wall of sound or do an exact copy of Metallica. I didn't think it was great, but it was nice to see something DIFFERENT rather than an attempt at recreating an original. If nothing else, she gets points for that alone.
