They did produce an OWS-inspired Lego set. When you give it to your kid, the family from down the street shows up and demands that you pay for sets for all of their kids, too, and that you pay off their Toys 'R' Us debt.

Hey, wait a minute... those are just sets 7066 and 7286, Earth Defense HQ and LEGO City Police Command Center.

Those aren't original sets at all.

Now I feel disappointed.

Still, the Earth Defense HQ is totally kickass.

OWS is not about getting someone else to pay the bills. It is about corruption in our government, in our corporations and in our law enforcement system.

just a friendly reminder to the fat-ass haters of liberty.

OWS has no idea what they want. That was one of their specific points. They never had a true list of demands or a specific thing to protest about. "We are mad at the rich" was about as far as they ever got officially.

When you give it to your kid, the family from down the street shows up and demands that you pay for sets for all of their kids, too, and that you pay off their Toys 'R' Us debtgive them 40% of the pieces in your Lego set to help them prop up their son's giant Lego castle. Because his son lost thousands of his own pieces by loaning them to friends that don't have any Legos and then betting even more lego pieces on them being unable to pay him back. Oh, and also, dad has been skimming a large number of pieces as a bonus for himself, not that he needs Lego pieces, or even deserves them since he lets his kid gamble and screw around with and lose them at an absurdly retarded rate. Also, the federal government is there at your door with him, to make sure you give him those Legos he's asking for. Because if you don't keep giving those Legos, you will go to jail. And hurry up giving him those Lego pieces, because they have a lot of families to visit

FTFY

It is not an organized effort and no one group has all members on the same page. Sure, some people are depressed they have large debts and want someone else to pay for them. But that's not the core. /and not what I believe

Nobody asked for that. Some people asked for the ability to file for bankruptcy on their loans, like corporations are allowed to do. Some people are also wondering why corporations can get their $7.7 trillion bills paid by the government but an actual person can't?

Or maybe you're just repeating propaganda.

Ok ... moving the goal post from "no list" to "no *official* list".

Lets move the goalpost again (since two can play that game) ... Lets try some actual polling results from OWS attendees which ... looks like a list of some sort.

Yes, shockingly the smell of unwashed people and pot is quite noticeable and nauseating. And since they have been there for months and accomplished exactly nothing, maybe it's time they pack up and try something new.

Much as I hate the Tea Party, at least they have managed to make a difference in politics. Even though the difference is a bad one.

Pot smells like burning sage. Can be too sweet in concentration. B.O. is another story altogether.

As far as an effort of a few months, maybe our "founding fathers" should have gave up after a few months also?

Naa, they knew exactly what they wanted to do. Hang out, party with some like minded folks and get all up in that sexy anti-establishment, political angst business. It was never about creating any lasting change. It was always about using that veneer to reinforce their politics and get some tasty partying in.

The Egyptians wanted freedom and were willing to die for it. The Ukranians wanted fair elections and were willing to tear down Kiev. The OWS crowds wanted some good times and were willing to build some lean-tos in public parks.

Mission Accomplished!

Our founding fathers also had a plan and a message. As has been stated many times by others, OWS are a completely unorganized group with no central goal. Until they manage to put some leadership in place, and start picking goals to accomplish, nothing is going to change. They are just wasting their time.

I'm just glad no one in this thread is throwing around the 99%-1% bullshiat.

It's not about wealth, it's about inequity in the system.

Not one of them complains about legitimate wealth similar to say a sports star or a popular filmmaker or a programmer who writes the code everyone wants. But when our government makes laws protecting corporations from the people and not the other way around? Then we have a problem.
