Most of the EU is crap. The X-Wing series and the WEG RPG are about all that's worth keeping. The WEG RPG does a better job keeping the flavor of the original trilogy films than anything from Lucasfilm has done since Ewoks.

I consider the Death Star Technical Read Out, the Imperial Sourcebook, and the Rebel Sourcebook more canon than the prequels.
