While I think these should be prosecutable crimes, I think sentencing is problematic when it comes to doing the same crime repeatedly. It shouldn't just dumbly add up. I guess that's why in some jurisdictions sentences are served concurrently, because it just doesn't make sense that sleeping with the same kid five times would get five times the length of sentence.

On the other hand, sustained criminal activity should warrant some lengthier sentence, such as when a kid is molested over a long period. But in that case you can craft the law accordingly -- i.e. have one crime for sex with a minor and another for "continuous molestation" or something, with sentences to match each.

Anyway, sentencing sanity needs to be restored. Sex crimes and drug crimes have a lot of out-of-whack sentencing.

For 35 years old she looks like she's been ridden hard and put away wet more than a few times. She's not terrible looking, but it is a road worn 35. 80 years in prison? Yikes. For being a sloot? That is the potential maximum sentence is she gets the maximum sentence for each offense and has to serve them consecutively, rather than concurrently, and gets no reduction for good behaviour. Which is so unlikely that only the Daily Fail would make a point of mentioning it.

Given her bail is set at a whopping $2500 I doubt they're planning on locking her away until 2092.
