That's the reason why I prefer to watch the games at home. If I wanted to sit around a bunch of drunken idiots shouting over each other, I'd go to more family reunions.

Sounds pretty standard for the student section in a college game.

I watched parts of that game last night... and good god, that had to have been the shiattiest bowl game I've ever seen in my life. I would have turned it off, but it actually reached the trainwreck stage where I couldn't turn away. It seemed every play had some sign of ineptitude: a drop, a dumb penalty, a missed block, an errant throw, or the 4th and 5 play in the final minutes when FIU forgot to cover any receivers downfield. The best part was the fight at the end (good punch by the Marshall guy, and that dude totally had it coming). I mean, I realize that both of these programs have made impressive turnarounds in recent years, and I should congratulate them for getting into a bowl. I'll just assume that both teams must have been better than this all through the regular season, because this level of play looked FCS-caliber at best.

Back in the day you used to be able to unplug your center channel speaker and get ESPN college basketball with just court noise and crowd noise -- no Dick Vitale!!!!! Just the squeaks of shoes, the whistles, the fans...it was AWESOME.

This is better because it's more profane. But no-announcer-college-hoops was dope too.

They're airing crap post NYD as well to piggyback off the bigger bowls now. Basically if the team finished lower than third in conference play, the game is going to suck.

Also this year I'm pirating a stream for the Alabama vs LSU rematch. I'm morbidly curious to see Alabama win just for the lulz, but I don't want to give anyone ratings for a rematch.
