If I wasn't grandfathered in with an unlimited data plan on AT&Ts network then I would totally switch over to verizon just for the streaming football on the weekends.

Many of the page views come from people using the service as a complement to watching the game on TV.

Practically un-possible unless you get incredibly lucky on the timing so that there is no delay and everything is synced.

Is the NFL starting to get it?

Just please tell me, since it's NBC, Joe Buck is not calling the game.

Unless, of course, you like watching the game on tv but also want the dvr control the streaming provides. It would be pretty silly to want to watch the game in real time from both a tv and computer.

Ok, good, I was hoping so. Just making sure. Buck seems to find his way to all major sporting events

Jesus, finally a sports league gets it. Just stream with the commercials all the same, and its impossible to "hurt" the TV rights holders.

Who cares if I watch on my phone or TV or whatever. I'm still going to see the commercials.

It's always on a free, over the air channel anyway, don't know why it took them so long

Semi on topic...

Until the NFL figures out what the NBA already has and allows me to a pay a reasonable fee for streaming Sunday Ticket online without a bullshiat DirecTV membership, I'm going to continue to enjoy streams online for free.

You can now stream Sunday Ticket on the PS3. The "reasonable" part of the fee is debatable.

"The service will include additional camera angles, in-game highlights and live stats"

I was more referring to that portion, though I do see your point, that with DVR you might be able to sync them to some degree. But I hate watching something with the knowledge that it is on delay (even if I accept that it is inevitably on delay, technically speaking), and also it would be a bummer if you delayed the DVR on the TV and then had the streaming online features jump ahead at some point during the game.

I think the contract with DirecTV runs through 2014 or such and you bet your ass there's something in there about streaming sunday ticket.
