Jim Henson has another holiday special called "The Christmas Toy" that is the exact same premise as "Toy Story", only 20 years earlier. I guess Disney owns both Pixar and The Jim Henson Company so maybe no one cared, but the similarities are uncanny.

its on Netflix right now under "Holiday Favorites" most of which is utter dreck but this one was good

I run into very few people that has heard of The Christmas Toy. For some reason it never caught on like a Henson production should. I've tried playing it for other people but most get bored. Too much talking and a slower pace I guess. That is a shame. I enjoyed it.
