Pairing wine with Tetrazini is simple, but what's the right choice for shotgun? Old vine Zin? Sauvignon Blanc?
Fark Sommeliers, please help.

California Chardonnay would really accentuate the steely-ness of the barrel.

I believe any red wine is sufficient, if your sticking with the spirit of the book you may want to try the house wine found in the dumpster outside the restaurant you're shopping at.

Don't exclude beer or fortified from the menu my good fellow. Steel Reserve or a full serving of Night Train paired with the cold steel and griminess of the barrel would create a delectable dance on your tongue.

Mock Amazon reviews can be pretty funny sometimes.

When dozens of people hop on the bandwagon and try to one-up one another, not so much. Especially when people are giving the book one- and two-star ratings just as a gag.

Anything, you just have to drink it from a shot glass.

I prefer the balanced citrus flavor with restrained nutty undertones of Cisco.

I don't know about the wine, but you should definitely have Cobain playing on the stereo.

I would think that having Cobain playing on the stereo for any length of time would actually induce the urge to eat a shotgun blast.

I'm more curious about another one of Sonia Allison's titles, "The Horoscope Cookbook (new window)".

Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't have a picture of it, or any reviews.

I'm hoping it's all about fish dishes for Pices, beef for Taurus, and, well I don't know about the rest. That's why I want the book

Nah, you'd want a Cab to go with the smokiness.

I no longer have cable or satellite, so it's been a while since I've watched The Soup. That makes me a sad panda.

My favorite spoof review is for a book I've actually bought (new window)

This book is easily one of the top four reference guides for shopping carts available on the market today. It does an excellent job of covering the following topics:

* Shopping carts

Overall, I heartily endorse this product.

Myself, I prefer to pair the crisp ferric notes of the shotgun with something that has a slight "mushroom" aftertaste, like Sterno squeezed through a hobo's sock.

That's a pretty funny idea for a book. Is that where the joke begins and ends or was it worth buying?

No, no, no. Sangiovese is the only thing that would properly pair with this scenario. One must remember, it's all in the finish.
