So he's taking PSG's money. Not surprised, he doesn't have too much left. Now let's see if LA Galaxy can bring in another playmaking midfielder. Is Ronaldinho still free? Playing in LA should beat playing in a random town in Brazil (yes, I'm aware he's Brazilian, but he's getting old too). Time to make it rain again LAG!

Here's a news flash: international soccer players move where the money is. We have this delusion that once someone moves to the USA they never want to leave. Get a grip folks, when you have enough money you can live comfortably anywhere. There are many nations where it sucks not to be in the 1%, there are not many where it sucks if you are in that income level.

Don't worry, David Stern will veto this move for basketball reasons.

For all the hype, there really wasn't anything of note about him. On or off the field.

We have plenty of athletes who make asses of themselves of our own.

Ronaldinho is earning $600k a MONTH playing in "a random town in Brazil" i.e. Rio De Janeiro. Pretty sure the Galaxy can't match that.

He was hired to give the MLS exposure and make it a "legit" league.
But there is nothing legit about a private sports league with divisions, all-star games and no promotion or relegation. It's not a real soccer league if you walk into an opposing city with your team's jersey and you aren't knifed or get into a fight.

FORZA Inter.

Hey Cristiano Ronaldo: people hate David Beckham because he's rich, handsome, and a great player.

People hate you because you're an arrogant diving douche.

Not quite, but $6.5 million a season is over double what I thought and not that far off what Ronaldinho's making. I thought Beckham was only on $2/2.5 mill a year. I'm shocked he was earning so much frankly, the Galaxy must have been counting on some serious shirt sales.

That wasn't salary. That was the potential amount including Beckham's image rights. He made $6.5 million in salary,.I doubt he made that much over the course of his stay in LA.

Yes Subby, because I'm sure he was hindering your life oh-so-much while he was here in the US.

he put in his time on the pitch and helped the Galaxy; he lived up to his contract and played thru injury. He wasnt a douche in the news nor did he act the fool in Hollywood where surely the temptations were great. I wish all superstars were that douchey. I'll cheer for him where ever he plays. Stuff it, haters
