I can't wait until next season after defenses have adjusted to Tebow's style and shut him down completely a la Kordell Stewart just so we don't have to have twenty threads about him a day.

That still turns $100 into $12,144. Damn I wish I could be a loser like that.

Well they go against the Brady's today so that should be another good jump in the money Mr. Gambler. Come on, do it. If we have learned one thing it's that you can never fail at gambling when you are spitting in the face of probability.

/Which team am I supposed to hate in this one? I hate Brady, but I also hate Tebhype?

When in doubt, root for the underdog. Or undergod in this case. Patriots are going to roll a fortyburger on the Doncos.

/And I hate the Patriots.

I can't wait until next season when defenses figure out that Tom Brady likes to go to Gronkowski in the red zone, and that Aaron Rodgers likes to go 4- or 5- wide and throw the ball around. Once defenses figure that out, they'll shut 'em down completely.

The issue isn't adjusting to Tebow's offense- people have known how to defend the wing-T since at least the 1930s.

If NE wins, which is fairly likely, it ain't gonna be because of their defense.

See...every other game they've won this year.

I chuckled at that a well.

On my own accord, I am 15/15 in my pick a winner over a loser and can't repeat teams pool.

So some columnist who's picks are down 1100 bucks on the year fantasizes about what would have happened if he bet on the Broncos? This sort of shiat must drive unemployed journalists nuts.

Otherwise known as a survivor pool.

I'm in a pick'em league for the first time this year. Pick teams to win and assign confidence points to the picks (if 16 games, you'd rank your most confidence pick at 16 and least at 1, and everything in between). I've done it for college bowl season but never weekly for the NFL. It's great...interest in every game (and not just players, as with fantasy leagues), and a lot cheaper than gambling. The skill isn't really in picking the games, but assigning the confidence points.

Reminds me of the Bears fan last weekend thumping his chest about how Tebow's streak would "end here" because they're going to put a "spy" on him.
Ohhhh... holy crap! A spy? Brilliant! *eyeroll*

Here's what's going to happen. You're going to kick the crap out the Broncos and feel pretty good about it, yet wonder why your team is not up by a couple touchdowns after 3. Then your team will make a mistake and then the game will be over and you'll wonder what the hell just happened because now you have a loss. Just like the 5 teams before you.

Of course I didn't believe a word of it, but enjoyed watching his eyes shake with the anger of a billion suns. Eh... he was a loudmouth since opening day. F that guy.
Kind of funny when it actually happened, though.

I'd do the same with Pats fan over at the Tilted Kilt this afternoon, but he's just a smug asshole who won't get wound up about it.

Bears would have won easy with Cutler.

5 out of the past 8 Broncos games have been against replacement QBs, they have yet to face an elite QB, they got their ass kicked by Stafford.

Every team they've faced would have "won easy" if something. That's the freaking story.

Anyway, my point was more to the pseudo-strategists who should be making 1.2M per year if they were only given a chance.
Hey, it's a goofy, quirky streak but it ends today... New England wins easy

/or will they?

So so so much this. It happened in the SEC it'll happen even faster in the NFL. We saw today what happens today when they play a GOOD team.
