Ported over because it's short and it's Christmas and Santa better be listening to this wishlist -

Fortyburger/400 [added - in a winning effort] for the Who Dats, Chargers over the Ravens to provide the Steelers extra incentive, Steelers over the Niners.

In Breesus' name.

Amen.

/Tebows/Pats...Tebows for the lulz

Tebow going up against the most porous secondary in the NFL, this could be entertaining. Could also end up being a shootout of epic proportions if the Broncos' receivers catch the ball regularly.

I'm rooting for the packers today, but insanely enough, I wanna watch the Denver/Pats game just as much...

That being said, the Chiefs are going to get beat red by the green and yellow today.

I always root for the Packers.
I also am a Broncos fan. Not a Tebow fan, necessarily, but I think he's doing a fine job of learning on the fly. I think he'll do better after a full off season.

/So happy I can watch both games today.

The game that matters isn't on until tomorrow but I'll still be here talking shiat all day because, well, it's football and I love football. If you care about the games today, I hope you enjoy them and good luck to your favorite team.

Prediction: unless Brady can pull away early, the Broncos win. This will probably be harder than it needs to be because NE's defense can't stop anyone, so the best-in-league run offense is going to have a field day. If it's within 2 scores at the start of the 4th, it's a likely Bronco win.

we're not getting it either.....i heard on the radio the other day, the local guys said something like 78% of US tv markets are getting Tebow/Brady, but due to league rules, they can't air the game sicne the Cards play at the same time and there's some league/TV rule about airing an on out of conference game during the same time as the home market.

However, if the game was blacked out, i.e., not sold out, then we would get the game.

I'm butchering the xplanation, but basically it was, "sucks to be us".

also, THERE ARE NO TRAP GAMES IN THE NFL. it absolutely boils my piss when people say that. gaahahaaaaaaah.

I haven't been watching the sports media lately cause of the cross networks Tebow circle jerk bukkake specials, but I was just looking at the506 and everyone except for Arizona, Ohio, and New York/Philly area is getting the NE/Broncos game. I have no hate for Tebow. It's his life and he can do whatever the fark he wants. But the ESPN and national media knob gobbling is getting on my last farking nerve.I turned on the radio Monday to hear about the Texans making the playoffs and I had to listen to Tebow first. And it was a local show, not the national syndicated ones.

It's the NE passing defense that is lousy, not the run defense; they give up a hair over 100 yards per game. And NE is still above average in points allowed.

To be fair, this is an actual test, and there's plenty of knob sucking for the Pats too. I despise Tebow as much as the rest of you, but this isn't all him. What, was Fox going to show Philly vs Jets or Browns vs Cardinals over Pats vs anyone? Nobody likes the other four outside of their home markets and nobody likes the Eagles. The Pats would be nationwide today no matter what.

Yeah, I saw, but it's a mid-range rushing defense against the best in the league rush offense, and besides, how many teams can afford to run a lot in the 2nd half anyway the way Brady has put up points this year?

It's not being shown in AZ, OH, NY and PHI for the simple reason that it's a late CBS game and so are the Cleveland @ AZ and Jets @ Philly games, and it would be very difficult for one channel to show two games simultaneously.

yeah, the other part of the explanation was how there's apparntly a league rule about how visiting team's conference determines what network gets it; AFC is CBS, and CBS has obviously rights to Pats/Donks. so witht he sellout, Arizona would normally be on Fox but the Browns get the feed. So one of the rare home games that is on CBS and not Fox.

/they could split screen it tho. just saying.

Really? I refuse to believe that. First of all, there are no Cardinals fans. Maybe seven of them. And Cleveland is physically painful to watch, even for their fans. I can't understand why anyone would want to watch that game.

This isn't about being a national team. The Broncos are not a national team. It's just a really good, interesting game. Two division leaders, two extremely interesting QBs, very different defenses. It's a good game to watch. PHI-NYJ is actually not horrible, but CLE-ARZ really is.

Yea, that's a good point and I get that. I guess I was just commenting on how crazy the media is going with this whole thing. I was listening to the afternoon show here in Houston and at one point the D.J. asked what was on the next hour and when the producer said "Tebow", he let out an audible sigh and said "Of course it is."

I wouldn't mind the Tebow thing nearly as much if I thought there was a chance in hell that a Muslim, Jewish or Buddhist quarterback in the same situation and exhibiting the same playing and overtly religious tendencies would be treated the same way in American media. And I do think its mostly a media-created phenomenon.

Being that I'm matched up against Tom Brady in two fantasy leagues; I really hope Brady has a rare bad day. Otherwise I would share in the Tebow schadenfreude, but really the Pats D isn't likely to make Tebow look as bad as he really is.

NBC must be pissed that the NFL blocked their flex of the unprotected NE/DEN game. It makes no sense why the league even did it. The Tebow is viral, game has playoff implications, and not flexing it means that NY, NJ, and Philly markets don't see NE/DEN. Just a dumb move all over.

CBS was biatching up a storm about their good games getting flexed.
