And just in time for Obama's re-election campaign to begin. Go figure.

2011-12-18 12:26:58 AM
I blame Obama.

2011-12-18 12:37:36 AM
Obama got it done three weeks ahead of schedule. Nice.

Invade the country and impose an unjust form of government on the Iraqi people, which will likely end with hundreds of thousands of people killed in the process. That's what Iran plans to do now. Disgusting.

Make up your minds! Do we give Bush credit for setting this final withdraw years ago, or is this an Obama publicity stunt. You can't have both.

At least they elected their own shiatty leaders. If people have a chance to freely choose their own government and still choose a poor one, they have no one to blame except themselves.

A lot of them are going to be sent to Afghanistan.

I dunno, but we can credit him with starting a war with a country that had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks.

But it never changes.

How could they go ballistic? The withdrawal of occupation forces is being done as per an agreement signed during the Bush Administration. The GOP would never attack Obama for something done by his predecessor.

2011-12-18 03:29:42 AM
Cool. When are we gonna leave Germany?

2011-12-18 03:31:22 AM
This just makes me sad. We're still in Iraq. Our contractors are there. And we're still in Afghanistan. Anyone remember that one?

Plus it looks like we're going to need these guys for Iran. :(

:(

The last American troops crossed the border from Iraq into Kuwait early Sunday, ending the U.S. military presence there after nearly nine years.

Now there's a well-constructed lead.

2011-12-18 03:32:10 AM
Cool.

Now let's just stop spending money making pipeline forays and defending doomed fossil fuels, retract within our own borders, start being green, and manufacturing money with American know-how.

/Seriously.

Not only can we credit Bush for this and scold Obama for trying to take credit, this is also a terrible thing that Obama has done that will make our country less safe.

/you'll hear all of this in under an hour if you tune in to talk radio on Monday

You need to cut down on your consumption of crack. Do you really think the oil cartel is gonna let that happen?

2011-12-18 03:37:02 AM
This is bad news.... for Obama.

2011-12-18 03:38:11 AM
Granted, many will be sent to Afghanistan though many will come home as well... perhaps some will join OWS. Many will remain on military bases... Many will join the black market economy and eek out a living as they find with the bonus of military experience and training. Many will be good men made monsters by circumstance.

/It's nice that the military industrial complex made so much money though.

Don't count on it. I'm sure somebody will find something wrong with it. And don't forget FOX News. It's just a matter of time before they start spewing out their usual wharrgarrbl.

We accomplished so much there, I'm sad to see us leave.
At least our soldiers will get to fight a new pointless war in Iran most likely. I'm sure their deserts look a little different from Iraq's.

Just ducking in and out before the weapons grade stupidity starts flying around. No matter who ended it, the end of something like this is always a good thing.

2011-12-18 03:52:57 AM
Would you do it all over again? Was it worth Tenet lying and getting Powell to go on national TV to talk about WMD's so we could spend $800 billion and lose thousands of lives to kill Saddam and keep France and Russia from violating the terms of the oil for food program? I hope so, but how the fark would I know?

So back when those of us thought it was a bad idea, and were called all sorts of names by right-wing Americans, do we get to say I told you so now?

Or maybe you thought it was worth it. In which cause that explains the brainpower behind you being right-wing.

That's OK. Just as soon as Bachmann, Santorum, or any of the other guys except for RON PAUL get elected as the next Republican president, we're going to be right back over there in 20 more wars because SHARIALAWISLAMTERRISTS judging from the last debate.

As much as I dislike RON PAUL, the farking Dominionist retards farking scare the shiat out of me. I really hope RON PAUL gets the nomination. Otherwise, if we get a Republican president, I'm going to Canada, Mexico, or Costa Rica.

Indeed. Their typical body language resembles that of an Angry Bird played by an 8 year old tweaker. Their umbrage is gold plated and monogrammed. I'm just waiting for cancer to be cured so I can hear them accusing Obama of making doctors homeless.

I'm glad we're out of there. Once we went in it was our responsibility to stabilize the place. That's been done as well as is realistically possible. If we stayed longer, it would have been to protect US contractors. Hell, no! Any politician complaining is being squeezed by a lobbyist. Screw 'em!

Nishu: Plus it looks like we're going to need these guys for Iran. :(

While it certainly looks like it with Army transport vehicles on the move in the US, it would be kind of crazy to do it. Russia and China just wouldn't give that blessing. Russia and China seem to be a bit stronger than Iraq.

Who knew fighter planes were so profitable

Bullshiat.

There's 16,000 folks manning a "U.S. Embassy" that had more concrete poured into it than the friggin' Pentagon, as well as several other spots in Iraq. 5,000 of them are mercs.

The "war" isn't over. The occupation isn't even over. We're still going to blow $3.5 billion a year to keep a "U.S. Embassy" open in a single country, run by the State Department.
