He should have never been fired from Metallica.

I always thought he had a cool name.

Pretty impressive in this day and age. He doesn't blame anyone, owns up to his mistakes and reaizes sometimes the breaks don't go your way... There is no way today's society can understand this man...

Good luck Mitch.

I look forward to seeing him in the AFL this year.

Thanks, headline, I thought he decided to skip it and just go into the Marines instead.

I was living in Rogers AR when this shiatstorm went down. My friends and I all agreed his mother was a twunt and fark up his life.

Yeah, I dunno. I think Nutt pulling him in the South Carolina game, after Arkansas was 8-0, hit the kid hard. Then Casey Dick leads Arkansas to a 10-4 record that year, after an 8-0 start by Mustain.

But I have always thought that Mitch was a bit petulant (which could be attributed to his meddling mother).

Shiate happens to everyone.

It's the brushing it off and getting on with life that's important.

Good luck wherever he goes.

Mitch got a raw deal at USC, that's for sure. Wasn't even given a chance to compete against Barkley or Corp

I doubt it - Carroll pretty much seemed to run open competition all the time. Mustain just wasn't as good as those guys at the offense USC ran.

Mustain had talent but went to a system that didn't fit his style, if he would have went to a school that ran a pro style offense he may have developed into an nfl qb instead of getting no skills sitting on the bench in a west coast system.

Christ, subby tried to shove more shiat into that headline than Ann Arbor normally tries to fit into her snatch during cam shows.

? The WCO is an offense that normally lines up in a pro set. What Mustain was good at was the spread, which is a college-only offense. An aerial equivalent to the wishbone, if you will. Like most spread QBs, Mustain's career trajectory, even had everything played out perfectly for him at the NCAA level, would be to put up monster numbers in college and fail utterly during a cup of coffee in the NFL.

There are different reads and different defenses against a fully WCO, and just because it has the same people in the backfield does not make it a pro style offense, that would include different responsibilities to receivers and lane assignments. Most offenses deploy split backs and that is not exclusive to a WCO.

WCO is all timing patterns and most of the time all it needs is an accurate QB, a pro style QB needs to read the defenses and adjust accordingly which still may not have suited him since he made the stupid decision to sit on the bench rather than play just because mommy said so.

It's refreshing to be reminded that douchey things sometimes happen to douchey people. Merry Christmas.
