Ok...I'm conservative as hell, and I'm not exactly 100% on the whole thing with gay marriage...but damn this video just made my Saturday.

There's so much crap in this world; it's nice to know this child is going to be a part of such a loving family.

Yeah, I agree, but I've checked their channel. There are several vids of the baby, but nothing else with the grandparents.

I have no idea if the grandparents live close enough to make visiting convenient- maybe we can hope for something after the holidays. That would be nice.

Well, let me try to put it in perspective. Their marriage is their business and has (I am assuming here) no impact on your life whatsoever. A proper conservative respects the individual and does not meddle in his or her life. And since hicksfa2: There's so much crap in this world; it's nice to know this child is going to be a part of such a loving family, I say congratulations Grandpops! Make sure you spoil the ever loving out of that kid! I know that I will spoil mine rotten!

I do however believe in the rights of a baby/child to be adopted by a loving same sex couple. Effectively the result is the same but we shouldn't lose the focus, which is the baby/child and not the would-be parents.

I still think the term "we're pregnant" is questionable.

No young lady, YOU are pregnant, your husband/boyfriend/one nighter helped, but only one of you is pregnant. Unless of course you are a lesbian couple who both got pregnant at the same time, in which case the term would apply

Well, my gay wife and my gay self would not be so amused at all. My son and his girlfriend have a LOT of growing up to do before they have any children. Maybe HER gay dad and his gay boyfriend would be amused, but probably not, and for the same reasons.

Maybe in 5 years it will be different and we can be thrilled and her dads can be fabulous, but not NOW!!!! Wait until you are 25 or something, guys!!

my only problem with the acceptance and legality of gay marriage is how it might end up affecting kids as they grow up. puberty is difficult enough, i think it would be even more difficult for adolescents if you had teachers telling them that it's normal and acceptable to marry someone of the same or opposite sex and that either-or is just peachy. seems like it would complicate things, especially since most people are straight. would it confuse kids to be told it doesn't matter which sex you marry? to make it seem like sexual preference is a personal choice when it isn't? i'm not sure that will make anything easier on them. of course, on the other hand, it would make life easier on young homosexuals if the pressure to 'be straight' was removed. i dunno...it's a tough subject. i guess i'm all for gay marriage, i just don't know how you go about teaching the children about it.

/i heard somewhere that the 2 most important questions in our society are 'who teaches the children?' and 'what do we teach them?'
