The Bucs are just plain awful. Josh Freeman is not playing as well as he was last year or even the first six weeks of the season.

More importantly... how many Cowboys will be implicated in the Hurd scandal before the rematch with the Giants?

Hadn't "hurd" of that scandal before now. Sounds like that could be a good one.

You don't sound like much of a fan if you're willing to let your hatred for one man wish for the team to lose. Why don't you get yourself a new team if he bothers you that much?

rickythepenguin: I said it 6 monhts ago, I'll say it again.

Whisenhunt.

Do NOT bring Kevin Kolb here. Espeically not for DRC. One more concussion and Kolb probably hangs it up for good. We had a crap O-line last year, and that was before broham retired and you know and I know that Deuce Lutui probably isn't coming back. And that other guy too. You're gonna put Kolb behind that O-Line? (new window)

July 21, 2011.

and what is on ESPN? "SOURCE: KOLB OUT (CONCUSSION) VS. BROWNS"

You left out your usual bit about fire zone blitz schemes bro

Nah. I'll just wait till he stops having much to do with the football operation of the team or sells. Allegedly he's having some health problems

Whoever the first person was who stood up in public and declared Rob Ryan a defensive genius should be kicked in the gooch, and set on fire.

Nabb1: The Bucs are just plain awful. Josh Freeman is not playing as well as he was last year or even the first six weeks of the season.

They were bad last year. A flash in the pan 10 win season was the last thing they needed in 2010. It glosses over deficiencies, whereas a 10 loss season will force the front office to make changes. Especially when the team was something like $60 million under the cap and the biggest FA acquisition was a punter.

Coming off a 13-3 week & already sporting a 1-0 start this time around, I'm going for perfection in week 15. So much so that I'm not even going to pick against the Steelers. Winners in bold as always:

Jacksonville Jaguars at Atlanta Falcons:
I called for a low-scoring affair, but only the Jags listened. The bright side for Jacksonville fans: your new owner has a killer mustache.

Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Tony Romo & company can get things straight this week, up against the god-awful Tampa "defense". Raheem Morris apparently escaped being fired this past week because the Bucs' coaching staff wasn't big enough. That's got to make him feel good.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills:
The Bills come in having lost six straight, while Miami has been better of late. But, the Dolphins are down to starting J.P. Losman under center, and one has to wonder about team morale after the way that Tony Sparano was fired. Buffalo finds a way to pull this one out, avoiding falling into last place in the AFC East.

Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears:
I've seen a lot of so-called "experts" picking the Bears in this game, which strikes me as ludicrously funny. The last time I checked, you still have to be able to score points in order to win games and that's something that the Cutler-less, Forte-less Bears cannot do. Unbelievably, the Seahawks pull themselves up to .500 after their 2-6 start.

Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans:
People seem to love inventing reasons why the Texans can't win, at which point Houston just goes out and quietly proves them wrong. Despite being down to their third-string quarterback, and missing their top wide receiver (again), and missing their Defensive Coordinator, and, and, and...I don't see why the Texans don't make it eight in a row at home, against a Panthers team that would likely be rivaling the Rams for second-worst were it not for the play of Cam Newton.

Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts:
0-16 is such a foregone conclusion that it's going to be anti-climactic when the Colts actually "achieve" the feat. Tennessee still clings to faint hopes of a post-season berth, but it'd take a miracle of Tebow proportions to get them there.

Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs:
For those who think that there's no such thing as a 100% certain victory in the NFL, I present this game. The only thing which might make it watchable will be the epic levels of fail that Kyle Orton is likely to suffer.

New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings:
Adrian Peterson says he wants to play in this one, which can only be taken as evidence that one or more of his fantasy owners possess incriminating photos of the running back. Drew Brees could probably break 5,000 yards for the season in this one, if he wanted to.

Washington Redskins at New York Giants:
The Giants are fired up after nearly beating Green Bay and then knocking off Dallas in dramatic fashion last week. The Redskins are the Redskins.

Cincinnati Bengals at St. Louis Rams:
After such a promising start to their season, the Bengals need lots of help to get to the playoffs. Facing the Rams is certainly a good start.

Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders:
This game could set a new NFL record for penalties, but in the end Matthew Stafford & the Lions offense have to be salivating at the chance to go after the Raider secondary (Caleb Hanie threw for 254 & 2 TDs against them) while Detroit's defense can certainly provide enough pressure to force a few Palmerceptions.

Cleveland Browns at Arizona Cardinals:
Call it a hunch, but I think that Seneca Wallace injects enough fire into the offensive unit to pull off an upset against the 6-7 Cardinals. I also think that the Cards are ripe for a letdown game after huge back-to-back wins against Dallas and San Francisco.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos:
Aside from Tebow magic/miracles, there are more logical reasons to go with the Broncos in this game: New England's secondary is absolutely dreadful, Denver's defense can bring the pressure necessary to fluster Tom Brady & the Pats offense, and Tebow has shown signs over the past couple games of actually being able to make good passes. I firmly believe this is the week that Tebow wins one with his arm & posts more traditional, quarterback-like numbers.

New York Jets at Philadelphia Eagles:
If the Jets can win out, they're in the playoffs. If the Eagles can win out, they have a slight chance to get to the postseason. All of that aside, New York is playing well of late and has the right personnel to match up against Philly's offensive weapons, while Mark Sanchez is working to prove he can come through in the clutch. I see the Jets not only winning, but winning relatively easily.

Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers:
Philip Rivers and the Chargers have come to life the last couple weeks, but with all due respect to Jacksonville and Buffalo, the Ravens bring a whole different level of defense to the table. Meanwhile, San Diego has struggled defensively, particularly against the run, which plays right into Baltimore's strengths. We should see some epic Riversface in this one.

Pittsburgh Steelers at San Francisco 49ers:
It's not that I don't believe in the 49ers, it's just that they match up horribly against the Steelers, even with all the injury/behavior problems Pittsburgh is currently suffering. San Fran is brutal against the run, but the 2011 Steelers are not a running offense...and the Niners are not as good vs. the pass. On the other side of things, even missing a couple key players Pittsburgh will able to take advantage of the 49ers suspect offensive line to harass Alex Smith, which has traditionally led to poor outings for him.

I'll take it. 6-8 in the East is tied at 35, so I'm also having to root against Buffalo and Toronto. So far both are losing, so that's cool.

I'm of the opinion that you can be a fan of a certain team and still see fault in them. But opinions are like bungholes and not everyone agrees.
