So, I guess their business must have been sagging, but, hey, we're talking about AshleyMadison.com again.

Neeek: Weiner was and is married,

I stand corrected. Could have sworn he was single...
Doesn't really invalidate the rest of the statement, though. I don't see Weiner running for President.

GAT_00: The joke would hit a lot harder if the average story of cheating/infidelity/et. al. didn't come from Republicans. I mean really, name the last Dem sex scandal that didn't involve Anthony Weiner?

You've got a point, though, I have to agree with another poster that Weiner was less of a scandal than guilty by politics. However, I do think that infidelity is not that big of a deal when it comes to Presidents and hasn't really been once since the early days. Sure, Rags would often accuse their opponents of having mistresses (Hell, Jackson blamed his wifes death on the claims that she wasn't actually divorced at the time of their marriage and held a grudge throughout his presidency) and so I keep going back to saying that this wont hurt Newt. FDR allegedly had several mistresses, and even Abe flirted on the side in the Summer of 1864 while the Hell Cat Mary Todd and her boy were back in Illinois and he was depressed because he thought he would lose re election. We won't even go into JFK, though I think Nixon was just lucky because nobody in their right mind besides his wife would sleep with him, that last is just a guess though.

It's funny how when your guy is up for the job, infidelity is "not that big of a deal", but I'll bet if the news broke that President Obama had cheated on Michelle it would suddenly be a very big deal.

Not with me, sure the news stories would break and Talk radio would all be buzzing but it wouldn't be any skin off of my teeth. I've got bigger issues with him than whom he sticks his wang into on a cold winters night.

You may not, but when your party claims to be a defender of marriage and all about family values, it's sorta amusing.

It wouldn't be a big deal for you, but I'm sure it would be for Gato Negro, Bocanegra, or whatever other dumbass animal/color alt you come up with.

Sergeant Grumbles: GAT_00: I mean really, name the last Dem sex scandal that didn't involve Anthony Weiner?

I wouldn't call an unmarried man sending a picture of his junk to an unmarried woman a scandal. Clearly the Republicans just have a different set of rules for their team than they do for opponents.

Eh, it's politics. Live by the slow news day, die by the slow news day. If the media didn't just randomly get bored and latch onto something insignificant just to pretend they had something important to talk about, most of our current crop of pols wouldn't be in office in the first place.

If newt is elected and then gets divorced again, who will be awarded the right to live in the White House?

Inquiring minds want to know

Phew!

As much as I'm sure "Begging for a Pegging" is an Oscar-worthy cinematic masterpiece, the ad for it is probably not appropriate, even for the Politics tab.

It would be for a Santorum story.

Sabyen91: Bucky Katt: Who is Ashley Madison? Never heard of her.

Ashley Madison is a sleazyscam site for cheating farkers by hiring people to lead men on with things they want to hear to get their money. It is not surprising they like Newt.

At least that was the theory by a friend who was familiar with their employee base. I mean it's brilliant - it's not like they can sue you without effectively ending their marriage first, right?

So yeah, the association fits even better that way - leading you on for your money is the Republican way, isn't it?

So gays can't get married because marriage is sacred, but cheating on your wife and/or divorce is ok?

yes; i cant believe you still have to ask that question. How many times do you have to be told?
you say that like you are surprised. move along.

Neeek,
Tendancy to over-dew it: ms_lara_croft: If Newt become our next President (Please no...) will we have several consecutive First Ladies?
I think First Mistress (and second, and third, and...) is much more likely.
It's not that Gingrich has had more mistresses than other politicians, it's he's so farking terrible at getting away with it...

It is part of the bigger problem, Newt is a major sleezebag. And he treats SO's in his life with a basic disrespect.

He does not just cheat on his wife. Not that I consider this a dealbreaker, some wives accept it under specific conditions and the marriage is a business relationship that works. A leader that gets elected has charisma, women like men men with charisma and men generally like farking other women. That has never changed.

Newt treats women like garbage, and he will treat others with the same complete disrespect. It is part of his basic character.

You have no idea how much that picture makes me smile. It was actually a great interview. Happy Leno gave the good doc so much time.

You had a cameo in Brüno (2009) with Thomas Rosales Jr., who was in La Bamba (1987) with Stephen F. Schmidt, who was in My One and Only (2009) with Kevin Bacon, giving you a Bacon number of 3.

Am I right?

Because if it's not that, I admit I'm completely stumped! ;-)

That is actually a Bacon Score of 4 and not 3. You must always count yourself as 1.

I have a Bacon Score of 3. I dated a guy whose sister was in a film with Bacon. Trust me, this knowledge is very humbling to me.

I also met RON PAUL in Orlando, Florida - along with his wife. They were just as lovely and gracious as two people could possibly be.

phenn:

Correction noted.

I didn't know that people I have dated count. If so, then it turns out I have a very low Bacon number.

I once dated someone who once dated James "Hutch" Hutchinson who played bass for Bonnie Raitt who was in The Country Bears (2002) with Stephen Tobolowsky who was in Murder in the First (1995) with Kevin Bacon.

So that's a 4, or a 5?

In any case, I defer to your superior Bacon number. :-)
