Fun. This is vague enough that people who support him will wave it off and people who don't will find all sorts of bogeymen in the shadows.

No worries....

/I'm sure there are still plenty of real skeletons in Newt's closet

I think it's interesting that we're four years into the Obama presidency and his political opponents have yet to find a credible scandal against him. Meanwhile, we're still just months into the Republican primary and we have multiple candidates being taken down by scandal after scandal.

/No, Solyndra doesn't count

A high-level source at the FBI considered launching an investigation that Obama raped thousdands of little boys.

The FBI called off the investigation when it decided there was no evidence

Fast & Furious might. Holder is really trying his damndest to hand a credible investigation to the House GOP (who don't really need "credible", but whatevs).

Gingrich was also a Congressman for 20 years. If there's a 20-year alum in Congress who HASN'T gotten up to shady shiat, they're obviously too incompetent to remain in the seat.

// Newt's a dick, and unfit to be president, but this is just smoke with no fire
// or smoke too thick to ever see the fire

What about assassination of an American citizen?

Personally, I believe Newt would have taken the money, but that's beside the point.

Who cares if the FBI considered a sting? Newt wouldn't be responsible for that beyond the fact that he's a douchbag. Someone who said they represented Newts wife was willing to talk about taking a bribe, it's just as likely that guy was running a scam.

Kuta: Oh, leave Newt alone. He's just a historian!

That is right, he had no intent on lobbying the lifting of the arms embargo. He was just going to provide them with a history of such actions.

Eh... doesn't seem like there was any evidence. Plenty of other real reasons why Newt shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the White House.

Bloated, deceitful, cheating, lying, corrupt, unfaithful, self-obsessed, loud-mouthed piece of shiat and he is the GOP frontrunner. This gives me so much glee.

Yes, the American people, in a general sense, DO deserve better. But Republicans don't. They made this bed and they can lay in it.

Aw, come on. A Romney campaign is going to be boring as f*ck and the more air time he gets the more uncomfortable and awkward it is for everybody.

Please just let Newt have the nomination.

Please...?

Newt probably loves the fact that this story came to light. It exonerates him while creating enough doubt about his ex-wife's credibility that any dirt she has on him won't be taken seriously.

there their theyre: What about assassination of an American citizen who joined a terrorist organization and in hiding in a foreign country beyond the reach of local law enforcement and was also given multiple chances to surrender weeks and months beforehand?

Fixed that for you.
No scandal there. Pretty easy to avoid. Don't join a terrorist organization. Don't go into hiding in a foreign country. Surrender when it's demanded. Don't be surprised when a different course of action bites you in the ass.

Who is Sarkis Soghanalian? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Gingrich tell it, anybody could have worked for Soghanalian. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone.

That's what I'm saying.

I'm not so much afraid that Romney is going to win, I just don't feel like seeing him sweat through interviews trying to maintain his fake-ass smile for the next 10 months.

Give us Newt! We want a show!

The loons are too busy with birth certificates, mustard on hamburgers, arugala, binder clips and what his kids are having for lunch instead of trying to find anything real. Investigating someone's past is hard. Manufacturing outrage is easy.

But I thought his constituents liked guns.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if this was ever proven that they'd just support him even further and spin it as "patriotic free-markety bravado defending of the 2nd amendment".

This is basically the issue. Some guy said he was talking to Newt's (at the time) wife. They didn't even go after her, which indicates that they didn't have any evidence of her involvement. There are actual reasons to be scared of a Gingrich administration, this is not one of them.
