I will never forgive him for Alien 3, either. He took what could have been a series of great movies and turned it into a herpes-riddled colostomy hole of suck.

Scarlett J. does not have the acting chops to pull off that part. Natalie Portman, maybe - after seeing her in V for Vendetta - I could see her playing this part - but I just don't think she'd pull it off. I'm hoping Mara does a good job, I'm looking forward to this film.

It's too bad Noomi Rapace was tired of the role and didn't want to do this version. I've watched all three films a couple of times, and it's hard to imagine someone is going to match her in that role. The proper balance of tough and vulnerable is fine line to walk.

The first and third movies both took strong businesswomen characters from the book and turned them into gibbering/cowardly wrecks, for no reason I can see other than maybe Norway just really can't handle more than one strong chick per book or Ikea coffee explodes out of their heads, or something.

He's more than atoned for it with Fight Club,Se7en and,to a lesser extent,The Social Network . So there's that.
