I dropped my Sirius subscription soon after Artie left as the show just seemed to have lost its magic of great staff interaction. How do current shows compare to the Artie years?

Also, what are they running on Stern's frequent days off? There's only so many "best of" shows you can do, so I I'm curious about what runs in off-days.

When Artie was on and awake the show was definitely better than it has been since he left. But you never knew which Artie you would get, so at least it's more consistent.

Howard 100 reruns that week's shows when they are off Thursday and Friday. When they are off for the entire week or more they run "theme" weeks. Whackpacker week, Robin week, etc. It's sometimes worth listening too, but the simple fact is that for those of us that enjoy him, 3 or 4 new shows a week is much better than 0.

All of it. But I doubt money is his motivating factor. Even after all he has made and all of his successes, he still appears to desperately crave approval.

I think it'll be interesting just because he's working for NNNNNNNNNBC again. How many live shows do you give it before he rips them a new arsehole (again)?
