If you're good at something never do it for free.

It's a good service to offer, makes sense for people trying to break into FPS online play with some extra coin laying around - instead of having a 12 year-old yell into your earphone about how many times and positions he violated your mother, recruit him.

I could see this. I could also see paying someone to boost your score/experience. But over $5 for 30 minutes? Really? If trying to make a meager living off of it, sure, but I can't imagine it being THAT high in demand.

Granted. extra money for playing games, you can't go wrong with that at all.

I do that in Eve Online all the time.

When that fat hauler is at the secured area I always joke about needing that ransom now.

They think I'm kidding...

That's actually sort of sad. No friends to play with? Just hire some!

I have something like this. I call it "friend".

Fark:"but how much does this "fer-end" thing cost?"

Nothing, that's the beauty of it, Friend is free!
You can even enhance your friend with an add on pack called "beer"!

/still have to buy my women, unfortunately.

This isn't really new. In a lot of RPGs and FPS in the past, a quick way to get ahead was to partner up with someone who has played the game longer. In Diablo II, you could pay someone (in in-game stuff) to run you through the quests; in Counter-Strike, joining a guild was a great way to learn strategy and how to bunny hop effectively. Now people are charging real money for similar things, which is the natural progression. Strategy guides used to do similar things like give you tips on weapons and semi-secret hiding spots, but with online games releasing new maps and weapons, it can be tough to keep up. Sure, there are free guides out there, but it takes time to read and understand, especially if you're new to the game. $8 for half an hour for a teen to show you the ropes and get comfortable in a game when your friends don't play isn't that bad, and kudos to these guys for making some extra coin playing a video game.

In a completely unrelated note, one of the things on my bucket list is to hire a prostitute (legally, of course) and make her play video games with me the entire time. It's my own sick fantasy, don't judge.

i would imagine that if you had a classy hotel room, and called an out call service, and the girl shows and you said "i don't want sex, but would you mind just playing some COD with me" she would be appreciative that for once she didn't have to get on her knees and would probably just play some xbox with you.

or her bodyguard would beat you. who knows.

I was a bodyguard for somebody playing Skyrim once.

But then I took an arrow in the knee.

since you wouldn't be actually paying for sex, why wouldn't that be legal? if escorts are "legal" as long as you aren't paying for the sex what's the problem.

Yeah i agree that this would be legal, there are websites which allow you to hire a friend to do things like attend an event or go see a museum without any sex involved....and they charge a lot less than hookers.

Anyhow if you insist on hiring a Prostitute I am interested in what game you would want to play with her, I would highly recommend a RPG over a first-person shooter. Have you given thoughts to what you would select?

Not prostitutes, but I can't help but think there would be some hilarious merit into letting a particularly sharp tongued dominatrix lose against the 12 year olds on XBox LIVE.

Come on now, you can at least be a man and make that trick lug around your clubs for a round of 18. Be sure to bring 2 sets.
