And giving in to radical Christians instead.

Lowe's can die in a home-building fire. And people that support this bullshiat are dead to decent Americans anyway.

I guess I hadn't quite realized that Muslims were so dangerous that even television shows about them could cause problems. Not quite sure what the danger is, but lucky we have people who protecting us from harm.

Who'd have thought that a few folks going about their day would be more subversive than the Nazis, Communists, Pagans, Witches, Khmer Rouge, Huns, Conquistadors and Crusaders-all of whom seem to have plenty of TV coverage.

Done in one, two, and particularly three.

The problem is that an overly developed need for PC-speak is forcing the discussion about this to mainly refer to the people opposed to this show as "conservatives." If we were, instead, referring to them using the more accurate but less-PC term "bigots," the "discussion" around this topic might be a little more focused on the realities involved.

And Home Depot is conservative, too, from what I hear.

Does being in the business of selling hammers, screws, and wood necessarily make one a nutter?

I'm almost inclined to advise you guys are better off. "Little Mosque On the Prairie" up here in Canada was painfully unfunny.

It could cause problems. To show Muslims as normal, ordinary people could undermine an entire decade of fear-mongering.

Scans article. Sees Pam Gellar. Leaves satisfied.

It's good to see we have created a cottage industry of Islamo-hatred.

Memo to media - if you stop feeding the trolls, they will go away. You are the problem. Be part of the solution. Thanks, America.

The Right is afraid that if we are exposed to the culture it will be seem as "normal" and we will all come out at Muslims. That is similar to why gays are not allowed in showbiz.

For some reason, the main takeaway that some people took from the PC era (and thank god that blew over) but the main takeaway is that ALL opinions must be treated with respect, and that they ALL should get equal airtime, regardless of proportion or merit.

This is dumb, and has made us an awful group of people. I'm going to side with you on this one, and in the future - call a bigot a bigot.

OK, a couple points here, because you seem to have just landed from 1964.

First. The word "conservative" as used nowadays is better understood as "Anti-Liberal." This stand is fully compatible with bigotry, deficit spending, crazy-ass attention-whoring public utterances, etc.

Second. No one in the mass media is interested in focused discussion of realities other than You Suck, Life Sucks, Who's Winning, Who's Losing, or Look at the Cans on That Broad.

Argument from "religion of peace" woman on On Point was essentially "It is propaganda against the radicalization of American Muslims", and "You aren't showing the scary muslims that we should all be afraid of".

That a group that feels portraying American Muslims as normal, everyday people is "dangerous propaganda" can get as much support as they have been is pretty farking pathetic...

This is the type of ignorance and bigotry that pushed me away from religion as a younger man.

The dangerous radicals in this country aren't Muslims or Arabs, they're white Christians who can't wrap their warped little minds around the fact that not everyone subscribes to their brand of insanity.

We good folks will purchase at Lowe's.

I've never had a discussion with a Muslim, now that I think about it.

Even when I was in the military, I never encountered a Muslim (that I know of). Christians, Mormons, Pagans, atheists/agnostics, Bhuddists, etc ...but not a Muslim.

I really need to expand my circle.

I think being able to choose what TV show you want to buy advertising time on is a form of liberty. BTW, Lowe's stock went up yesterday.

CBC sucks at comedy. They haven't had a comedy show worth watching since Kids in the Hall. I set my TV to turn on to the Comedy channel automatically normally but I disabled that because it now has some CBC programming so once and awhile it would turn on to Corner and it is very upsetting to me. That shiats sucks then worse than the old Wayne and Shuster show.

My general rule on comedy is that I don't watch anything with jokes lamer than I could right with minimal effort.

What you people call 'radical christians' are making the smart move. Radical Islam and Sharia Law is coming and you all better be ready. Keep accomodating these shows that pretty up Islam If you want to live a life where decisions such as who you love, who you marry, where you work, what you're capable of becoming is all decided by prejudiced, religious nut-jobs and their fake books of facts! Me, I'd never want to live a life like that which is why I am sticking with the conservative, religious fundamentalists of America!!!!!!

Most are pretty normal. For example, they biatch and moan when Ramadan falls in August (like this year) as opposed to later in the year because the sunup to sundown fasting period is longer.

This - they were talking about this tv show yesterday on NPRs On Point with Tom Ashbrook (new window), which is almost always a pretty solid show, and then they went and had that clown on.
