What a crappy name.... Couldn't they have used Roachhopper?

Around here we refer to those things as New Jersey jackrabbits.

I see it went for the "Heritage Cherry Sunburst" finish, great choice!

Yeah, that was scary. . . . right up until I read the part where they are 4/10" long.

I think those roaches are on the top of the insecta food chain.

Leaproach? Dammit, subby, it's obviously a cockhopper.

While I support bio-diversity and the enviroment and shiat, I hope this abomination goes extinct.

You have not lived until you have moved to Houston Texas in July, spent the entire day unpacking your shiat, downed a few cold beers to rehydrate your salt stained sweaty body, flopped down on a nearby couch, as you watch your California native wife swing open the patio doors to let in a ha-ha "breeze" and then try to keep the collossal hilarity/shiatfreakout WTF at bay as you observe your wife shriek and battle I shiat you not, flying farking cockroaches. It was the farkingest weirdest unexpected thing I ever saw and entirely encapsulated how things would be in Texas.

What I came here for, but in the context of Florida. the "Palmetto Bugs", as they're known, get up to about two inches long, and they do in fact fly. Ugly little bastards, and they have no fear. Those little German cockroaches will scurry away when you turn on the lights, but these guys don't give a shiat. They'll fight you for your doughnuts. And they fly. They could fly right into your mouth while you're sleeping.

Strange. I misread that headline as containing the word "lepracoach" and thought of the portmanteau "leprachaun +coach".

You know, I knew roaches were a problem down south, but fark that. I'll freeze my ass off half the year and deal with those little june bug things in the summer. My cats kill anything else that's small and annoying.

Ice storms are a biatch, but only once a decade or so, so still worth it.

Shoot it in the central nerve cluster to kill it for sure.

If we can just find the 50 foot long Brain Roach living in some subterranean cavern under Montana, we can end the cockroach tyranny for good. Someone get me Private Zim on the horn...

Same here! The "in your nightmares" ref made me assume it was an insect, but I was imagining something from Irish folklore.

Yup. Same ones in Texas. There are actually two different species if you look close enough: one is marked similarly to the smaller, German cockroaches, simply much, much larger; another is like the death beast of hell in insect form - really ugly, spiny and mean as fark! The second are the ones who hold grudges and will have their family invade every orifice of your body and head at night and shiat in your Wheaties. I'm certain even the devil himself would fear these flying bastards.

The first ones are no picnic, either, but don't seem as evil.
