I saw this (new window) on PBS NewsHour last night. Immediately made me think of one of the main thing most of us do here at fark.com, aside from get drunk and post rants that make little to no sense... Realizing how FUBAR the media really is. What started as Drew just farting around and sharing news stories with friends has grown into something so much larger. Through all the snark and flame wars, many of us actually learn things here. Combine frequent visits to fark with a trip to Google News, maybe a local paper, and a decent news cast and you might actually be an informed citizen. Then you will realize we should probably nuke the entire planet from orbit. It's the only way to be sure!

Great piece by NewsHour, btw. Hope many of you feel as happy as I did that finally our childrens is learning gooder.

I'd just like to take a moment to state that, given the opportunity, I would gleefully have relations with Veronica Belmont.
