Nothing like a good morning fart to get the blood circulating. Once he's had his cup of coffee and a shiat, we're screwed.

Same here. But this time around, we have science.

As it gets worse, it'll really, really suck.

I like the Russian Scientist's take on it:

"Earlier we found torch-like structures like this but they were only tens of metres in diameter. This is the first time that we've found continuous, powerful and impressive seeping structures, more than 1,000 metres in diameter. It's amazing," Dr Semiletov said. "I was most impressed by the sheer scale and high density of the plumes. Over a relatively small area we found more than 100, but over a wider area there should be thousands of them. Of course, this means we're all going to die. But it's really impressive!"

Wonder if this is what caused mass extinctions way back when. Massive amounts of trapped gas was released and killed everything in its path until it dissipated. Kinda like that Bhopal disaster. Wonder what the path of the ginourmous earth-fart would be?

Michio Kaku has said that the most dangerous period in any planetary civilization is making it from a type 0 civilization to a type 1 planetary civilization.

He said we it would be about another 100 years before we make it to type 1.

( if we make it )

Today in media sensationalization,

Shock as retreat of Arctic sea ice releases deadly greenhouse gas...

Dramatic and unprecedented plumes of methane - a greenhouse gas 20 times more potent than carbon dioxide - have been seen bubbling to the surface of the Arctic Ocean by scientists undertaking an extensive survey of the region.

Stay tuned for information that could save your life!

Yeah this is just the beginning of methane release. There is a whole shiat load more that will escape as the melting continues. Unless they figure out a way to stop it.
