What America tells him too again? Lady Liberty has some nice gams for a granite dame.

Wow he signed the pledge that until like a week ago said that African Americans were better off during slavery?

Granite? It's made from copper.

Haha. That whole post was a giant failure. Much like Obama's policies.

Word is he's not allowed to spend an overnight on the book tour(read campaign), and must be home every night.

This is pretty much a perfect example of what these "pro-family" organizations truly are.

You can be a thrice divorced adulterer who left a woman to die alone as long and as you hate gay people, you are "pro-family"

2011-12-12 02:47:10 PM
I believe the term for this is "cognitive dissonance"

Believing that someone who has been divorced twice is the person who is defending marriage.

2011-12-12 02:51:31 PM
Can I quote him on that?

The important thing about being pro-family apparently is that you won't let some people have a family...

What happens if we elect him president, and then he meets a younger, hotter country?

2011-12-12 03:25:33 PM
Says a lot that he thinks he actually has to make that promise.

I'd say that's close enough for republicans

Panama is both younger and hotter than the USA. Plus I heard it has a wide open canal and thousands of soldiers have been in and out of there over the years.

Bill Clinton is still adored and was elected himself with known infidelity issues. I don't see why so many people here think it will effect Newt all that much in the General should he be the nominee. It's not really even hurting him that much among evangelicals in the primary.

Would you cheat on someone as crazy looking as his wife? Even he'd have to weigh those risks....

Bill Clinton is still adored and was elected himself with known infidelity issues.

But he did not campaign by positioning himself as the bukkake queen in the blowbang of religious farktards and the resultant family values facefark.

If Callista springs a leak and deflates, it won't really count as infidelity when he buys a new one.

GAT_00: Ah, the good old 'but, but Clinton!'

So now it's wrong to point to historical fact to back up a statement? If people were able to look past the Clinton indiscretions, why do you think they won't for Newt? This isn't so much a "but...but...Clinton" in the sense that the meme goes as much as it's just pointing to a political trend.

/You're better than that.

Can't we ignore the but Clinton and keep on the whole "all it takes to be a pro-family Republican is a healthy hated of gay people" bit?

Clinton wasn't campaigning on the family-values-holier-than-thou platform. And considering Republicans tried to IMPEACH him for it, I somehow doubt they would have overlooked it in a general election as you are saying people should for Newt

So this means all we have to do to get rid of Newt is make sure somebody other than Callista the Gingrich gives him an indiscreet BJ?

Oh surely there is some reasonably attractive woman out there willing to take a shot to the back of the throat for her country?

I don't think this will affect him if he is the nominee. This issue is probably the least of his concerns. The man made many enemies among his former Republican colleagues--who are genuinely concerned to see him gaining ground now.

The right is the party of family values, not the left.
Never mind the entire cancer thing that takes it to an entirely different level of scumminess.

I will support sending a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman to the states for ratification.

I also pledge to uphold the institution of marriage through personal fidelity to my spouse and respect for the marital bonds of others.

Considering there are already same-sex marriages, you've already violated your own pledge, you human filth.

Also, BIG GOVERNMENT!
