Considering how much time he's missed due to injury, this probably should be considered only in his 6th or 7th year...

i would hope so. at this point i'm pretty sure the league needs to announce that stern has suffered a mental break down and will be resting somewhere for an extended period of time. dude has done lost his god damn mind...

Will this get blocked by the league? Only Stern knows for sure.

And why the Suns?

"Hill was pursued by several teams, including contenders like the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks."

Payday?

I'm seriously starting to wonder if the League has a buyer lined up for NO, and Stern/the owners are just trying to get some insanely ridiculous deal for the Hornets to assure the new owner a winning team.

I don't think so, because he took less to stay there this past season - the Knicks had offered him a longer term deal with more money.

I think he just genuinely enjoys the area and the team. They have a great trainer there, and he likes playing with Steve Nash.

nah, they are trying to get a entice a buyer by stocking the team. of course that won't solve the problem of the league not wanting to take the pr hit of the hornets leaving new orleans post-katrina (as we know katrina changed everything). the hornets are farked if they stay in new orleans, but the league has to pretend to care. oh and the other 29 want a bigger return on investment when they do sell. maybe sterns should force the clippers deal including gordon through for basketball reasons...

/and the laker deal bullshiat was about putting the players in their place
//crazy dave...

Well, considering that the owner of the Nets is apparently suicidal..

Can they just give him a ring so he can retire in peace? His knees can only take so much now.

They got him back by holding the decrepit portrait of him hostage.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the Suns' training staff that kept him around...they've basically nursed him back from the NBA graveyard. He's played in 80-82 games each of the last 3 years, and started 80+ games the past 2. That would be moderately impressive for any player who's pushing 40, but much more so for someone who was a walking Injured Reserve till he came to Phoenix.
