I'm astounded that a politician did not have the presence of mind to run away the second he saw a guy dressed like a Nazi, or during the Hitler ym"sh chants.

Just for that incredible amount of stupidity and lack of foresight, he should be sacked.

I thought that was appropriate? Winter for Poland or France?

2011-12-12 02:43:44 AM
Not sure what is worse, dressing up in a SS uniform in the middle of France or being called a stag.

WTF is it with the British, do they need to get their arses kicked a second time?

2011-12-12 02:46:25 AM
It's dumb and unfunny, but so are those godawful Comedy Central roasts.

In another way, it's a blow for Free Speech. But maybe not that big a blow.

hinten: WTF is it with the British, do they need to get their arses kicked a second time?

I know. We should have never accepted their surrender in WWII. Just on the basis of their crimes against our language alone we should have razed their cities. We should have shown them exactly where they should stick all those extra 'u's.

Illegal in France? Oh come on, they INVENTED the damn salute:

Considering it's illegal to wear a nazi uniform in France unless you are in a play or movie, where did they get it? It certainly sounds like they planned on wearing it even before they started drinking. It's not like knocking back a few and wearing a lamp shade on your head. Also, if people in your group are wearing Nazi apparel and chanting Nazi slogans, you need to get the fark out of there pronto, especially if you are a politician. Saying it's just a few guys having fun doesn't add up or even make sense.

Nice godwinning of the thread, subby.

Clearly, the guy in the photo is merely asking people if they have seen Kyle, the SS stands for Super
Stag, and obviously the symbol on his arm is a reference to Hindu culture.

But no subby, that was too subtle for you. Never go full retard.

Pure douchebaggery going on there. They should have been beaten to death.

They got their arses kicked only once? Then how come Britain lost most of the territory it had a century ago?

Just another typical day in the life of a Conservative MP. Nothing newsworthy. And I'm surprised the black-shirt-loving Daily Fail has an issue with it.

Stay classy, Tories!

Over here, for silly fun, our conservative politicians like to dress themselves and their darkies up in antebellum attire, at their Civil War-themed cotillions. Link (new window)

The MP is an idiot and should be sacked.

However, this just seems another instant in the odd British belief that they can fly to a foreign country and commence doing whatever horribly offensive thing they want with no consideration for the locals. When it comes to "holiday," "hen parties," or "stag dos," they are like a migrating flock of drunken douchebags that don't understand the places they go are populated by real people.

I'm surprised the rest of Europe hasn't banned flights from the UK.

Hear hear... I worked in Dublin for about 5 years in the 90s, and English Stag and Hen parties were the worst... Obnoxious drunken assholes for the most part. Treated everyone like shiat and just generally acted like entitled smug douche bags with no respect for the people or country they were in.

'Course, the upside was, those morons were easy to fleece... Enormous exchange fees (for some reason they would never convert their English pounds to Irish pounds), most places jacked up the prices for spirits and the restaurants always tacked on a huge gratuity (20% or so) onto larger parties. You could make a killing selling these clowns fake hash, too.

...And of course, since they're English, they were easy enough to fark out onto the street when you got sick of their bullshiat.

2011-12-12 08:13:09 AM
As an Englishman, I'd like to apologise for the actions of these retards.

Sadly, it's the norm. Sorry guys, really. We're not all like this, I promise. Just...sigh...most of us.

2011-12-12 08:19:07 AM
It's one thing to think that the Third Reich was a pretty good thing. It's another to think that, and be a British MP. But posing in photos with somebody dressed as a Nazi can only come from the refined, toffee-nosed, what-me-worry arrogance of a British upper-class twit.

He should get about 15,000 calls from his constituents a day saying a single word, "Resign."

2011-12-12 09:13:51 AM
He could always join the BNP. They drew almost 5% of the votes in his constituency during the last election. I'm sure he'd feel right at home wih those prats.

I get that it's illegal to wear a Nazi uniform or do the salutes in France and Germany... but they really should make an exception for Russian, American and British tourists. The main reason Germany and France get to have laws that make it illegal to wear Nazi uniforms and do nazi salutes is because of Americans, Brits and Russians didn't give in to those fascist bastards.

What a sorry bunch of farking losers. It's not funny and it's not a farking joke.

I guess that's what happens when your whole country stagnates after WWII and the loser nation pulls itself out of the dust after losing two-thirds of its territory and almost all of its history, and re-unifies the remaining one third and becomes a strong once again. Good luck in the dustbins of history, Britain. Despite everything that you've done to destroy it, Germany is standing proud as a responsible and powerful European nation. Must just burn your ass to know your nation is becoming more and more irrelevant as time goes on.

I just really get sick of this shiat, endlessly and endlessly repeated. How many tens of millions of Chinese did the British kill off with opium? Why isn't this the first thing we think of when we think of Britain?

Asked why he was dressed as he was, Mark Fournier said: 'We wanted to see how a Nazi outfit in the middle of France would go down. The answer is not that well at all.'

Another said: 'We are trying to intimidate as many people as possible. A lot have been quite offended, especially one guy who was both Jewish and gay.'

They are extremely lucky that they didn't run into anyone who was offended enough to express his displeasure physically or got to experience how dressing up in Nazi uniforms goes down with the French justice system. And taunting a waiter for being French while in France only works as long as you can pay your bills. Once the money runs out the customer stops being always.

Also in general it is surprising how many foreigners can speak English well enough to understand when they are drunkenly made fun of, but lose all language abilities when said customers needs help or asks for assistance with something.

I would not recommend it, that fabric was not soft or even close to smooth. Better to just shiat in the Nazi flag.

My uncle brought one home at the end of the war, along with some other stuff. That flag gave me the creeps as a kid and it still does. He also brought home a WWI German helmet that was used in WWII as well. That, I liked.

Yea, they have won that right. I think that the French don't like it because so many of them cooperated fully with the Nazis. Brings up feelings of guilt.

But I would suggest that who ever wants to dress up as a German WWII era soldier not to dress up in an SS uniform. That is taking it a bit too far.

But hey, carry on. Trollers gotta troll.

I'm asking since when is Twitter a valid journalistic tool for guaging public sentiment? In short, why should anyone CARE what a bunch of twits on some anonymous posting service are screaming about, much less report on it? This practice is the very definition of the very behavior this site was set up to mock.

Douchebag doing douchbag things is douchey. Dress up like a Nazi? Expect to be treated as if you dressed up like a Nazi. No suprises here.

My issue is solely with the lazy idiocy of citing "Twitter Users" as a valid source.

Twitter has been used by the media to gauge public opinion since about 2 weeks after it was invented. Mainly because they don't give a shiat about a perspective that can't be reduced to 140 characters or less.

Oh I know the practice is widespread, and this isn't new. It's also asanine and has no mechanism for accounting for the inherant negative bias.

In this case, I doubt there is some pro-nazi sentiment that is being overlooked, but it's still an abysmal practice to see in 'journalism'.
