I really do "get it" as to why so many people think Christians are crazy redneck loons. The most ignorant and obnoxious among us seem to get all the press and tv face time. Just like for every militant Islamist who really does want to kill you there are a couple of million Muslims who are totally ok with ignoring you, most Christains are embarassed and repulsed by this crap.

To the extent I can, I'd like to apologize for the feral dingbats who are claiming to be Chrisitans and making the rest of us look insane.

My religion teaches me to be kind, patient and loving towards my fellow man.It explicitly says to let others believe as they wish. I honestly have no idea where these people get this stuff (my best guess is religious television).
