Heh, similar thing happened where I work. Friend of mine found around 17 bucks in the hallway. Got permission to send out an email to everyone about it. He got somewhere around 15 emails out of the 200 or so people who work there, but not one of them said they lost as little as 17 bucks. If nothing else, it made a good list of "People who are within 100 feet of you for 8 hours a day and have no reservations at all about lying or stealing." Well, partial list.

My dad came home from LaGuardia airport once in the early 80s with a Samsonite suitcase full of cash that he picked up instead of his own identical case. It had no identification on it, but his suitcase did, including our name, telephone number and address.
