Alright FFL playoffs week 1. I have a pretty good team in a PPR league. Standard points for yardage too.

Peanut Gallery Help- Pick 3 from

M. Bush @ Packers
Helu vs. Patriots
Stevie Johnson @ Chargers
Fitzgerald v 49ers

Pretty good problem to have but I'm getting the old analysis paralysis. Currently going with bush, helu, fitz- but that johnson matchup has me twitching over the change lineup button.

/ Jennings, Gronkowski, Lynch are my locked-in starters

I think it is going to be one of two things with the Bears-Broncos game. Either the Bears will get totally Tebowed, or Peppers and Urlacher are going to pound him into the ground. Don't think there will be a middle ground in this one.

Decent morning games - KC at the Jets and OAK at GB.

Blech! None of the 1:00 games look very appetizing. I'll just watch whichever game my local CBS affiliate carries, biding my time until TEBOWMANIA! runs wild on FOX.

And today, CBS carries...

*checks*

... KC Chiefs @ NY Jets.

*sigh* Fiiine. -_-

Oakland at Green Bay is good, it's GB's hardest game left, probably.

So whereas the typical Sunday has me perhaps getting out of bed now, probably not for another half hour or so, and then sitting around watching football for eight hours in a row...

Today I'm covering for a coworker at middle school math team with a hell of a cold, and I won't be home until halftime of the early games, so I can't make last-second roster changes. Fan-farking-tastic.

Also, dear Fox: You have no more college football to air. Release the Gus!

Both are going to happen. Tebow is gonna get pounded the entire game, maybe scoring two field goals in the first 3 1/2 quarters. Then Chicago will have trouble scoring, til a TD with 5:00 left makes the game 10-6 Bears. Tebow marches down field, shrugs off a huge Peppers hit, and scores a TD. Final score, 13-10 Broncos. That's the middle ground.

I've been playing fantasy football for more than 10 years, and it all that time I've never had a team that didn't at least make the playoffs, even though I've had more than my fair share of Round 1 flameouts.

This year, I had 3 teams, and the best record of the bunch was my "DoubleDwayneBowe" squad at 5-8. None of the three made the playoffs, so I have really nothing to do today, other than root for the Titans so the Saints can stop breathing down the Niners necks for the 2nd bye.

I'm so sad.

Speaking as a Colts fan that lives in the middle of Ravens land -- I've a weird feeling this game might be a bit more of a contest than most suspect. Besides, this will answer the question: Is it the Colts that have the Raven's number? Or is it Peyton Manning? Up to this point, every one of those questions have been answered with "Peyton Manning".

It's going to be difficult to take my streak of 12-4 weeks up to three, coming off an ugly 0-1 Thursday night, but I've always worked best under pressure if by "worked", you mean "curled into a tiny ball and cried in the corner." Week 14's bold predictions:

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers:
Hey, a Ravens fan can dream, can't he? And credit the Brownies for playing it close enough to produce a post-game controversy involving a single play(er).

Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens:
Baltimore looks to improve to 7-0 at home this season, while Indy just looks to get this season over with and draft Andrew Luck.

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers:
The Panthers' offense is good enough to keep them in this game, but their defense is bad enough to lose it for them. The Falcons have to feel confident about a playoff berth with Detroit struggling and Chicago's entire offense being injured (I'm not exaggerating the number of injuries...Forte and Cutler were the entire offense).

Houston Texans at Cincinnati Bengals:
Cincy really needs this game to remain in the playoff chase, but Houston's defense is just too good for the Bengals to overcome. I can definitely see this as another 17-10 game.

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions:
With Christian Ponder hurting and Adrian Peterson out, the Vikings' slim chances of pulling off an upset appear to be downgraded to none.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Jacksonville Jaguars:
As bad as the Jags looked last Monday night, the Bucs have looked even worse during their 6 game skid. Again I think defense will be the difference, with turnovers giving Jacksonville the win.

Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins:
Shocking that, after an 0-7 start, the Dolphins look to finish the year with the best record among the Florida teams. Philly's biggest flaw (the lack of cohesion among its players) was on display last week during their loss in Seattle, and is the reason they'll lose on the road again today.

Kansas City Chiefs at New York Jets:
Just a few weeks ago people were scoffing at the Jets' playoff chances, but suddenly here they are right back in the picture. They'll handle the Chiefs easily enough this week.

New Orleans Saints at Tennessee Titans:
A Titans loss combined with my prediction of a Houston win means the Texans will clinch their first-ever division title today. It's much easier to argue against the Houston win than the Titans loss this weekend.

New England Patriots at Washington Redskins:
In a city that's synonymous with highly paid employees failing to perform their basic duties, the Redskins still manage to stand out. Another week, another easy Pats victory.

San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals:
The Cardinals are playing solid ball lately, but San Fran is playing several levels above them. Bold prediction, however: the 49ers finally give up their first rushing TD of the season today. Bolder prediction: it's the only one they'll surrender during the regular season.

Chicago Bears at Denver Tebows:
Never go against the Tebows when a tattoo is on the line! Or, a football game.

Oakland Raiders at Green Bay Packers:
I've seen some talk that the Raiders can finally deal Green Bay a defeat. I'll buy the part that has Oakland running the ball well and scoring points, but in case you've missed it, the Packers could outscore the Harlem Globetrotters.

Buffalo Bills at San Diego Chargers:
How good did San Diego look last week? How bad have the Bills looked since their 5-2 start? Yeah, that about covers it.

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys:
It just wouldn't be the NFC East if one team notched a clutch win to all but wrap the division up. Tony Romo has a real shot at the Delhomme this week.

St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks:
This might end up being the lowest-rated Monday Night Football ever. Seriously--I even expect the Rams themselves to change channels some time just before the half.

I bet it kills sales of team jerseys when all of the primary jersey numbers are out with season ending injuries.

The QB, his main receiver, the best defensive linebacker...

and then the QB that comes in for the last part of the season who has a chance to prove himself
wears #13
