I remember Mora when he was with the 49ers, and he was AWFUL. UCLA football will continue to be a wasteland as long as that idiot is there. Poor Bruins fans, haven't they suffered enough?

I am glad I don't remember those dark times in the 49ers history.

The Bruins are screwed, doesn't matter which Mora it is. Jr couldn't win in Seattle or Atlanta and I don't have to mention the Sr. meltdown that is a pretty darn good rant. Those days in Indy were truly horrific.

Because we totally gave him a fair shake after 1 year or insane amounts of injury...only to be dumped because Paul Allen wanted a complete restructuring of the management. Makes sense.

He's a players coach, he should fit right in. He was able to get some semblance of skill out of Vick for awhile before he became a walking stereotype...if it weren't for the fact that the politics and management structure down at UCLA is bad enough that 4-5 coaches already said no, I'd give him a fair shake as well. But unfortunately he's doomed down there.

You can use the injuries as an excuse, but the team was poorly prepared every game. They seemed to be victims of a guy who thought "attitude" would trump game planning. Remember his revolving door at RB? And his desire to start Julius Jones at RB against Dallas because he would "be motivated"? His courtship of Houshmanzadeh? Poor leadership skills. Telling his O-Line that he wants them to be "dirtbags" doesn't help with the game planning at all.

It is. We get to see if he can coach in college on someone else's dime and if Sark doesn't work out we can have him anytime we want.

Pete Carroll won fairly often at USC. In the NFL, he's a mediocrity the minute he rises above defensive coordinator. Gene Stallings was a horrible NFL head coach. He won a national championship for Alabama.
