What kind of drugs over what length of time do you have to take to conclude this?

The GOP bill pays for the pay roll tax cut, extends it, and creates jobs that even the liberal leaning AFL-CIO wants. Fark liberals in particular have absolutely loved to make fun of anything the GOP does that doesn't create jobs and now I'm getting a good laugh out of this because they're not going "Finally, the GOP is trying to create jobs after all of our complaining".

I wouldn't want to think that all that complaining was just partisan bickering.

On the backs of the poor and middle class, again, while asking nothing from the wealthy, again. Boehner's proposal is a joke, as is his capacity as Speaker.

Nicely played load of BS.

Keystone would NOT create thousands of American jobs and it's an environmental disaster. The Perryman Group report claiming this has been debunked and you know that. The GOP has been hijacking every bill they can to undermine the EPA and other regulatory agencies (See HR 1633 (new window)

Cutting unemployment to 59 weeks from 99 is one of the worst things we could do at this time, and failing to raise the tax rates on the wealthiest Americans is insane and irresponsible.

Keep spinning though. Partisan hack.

2011-12-10 09:40:08 AM
I wonder how much of the tax bill for that pipeline the American people are going to have to pay. Because you know by the time the GOP is done with the legislation, the companies building it will have all kinds of tax cut deals, not to mention direct subsidization of their supply chains like the rest of the petroleum industry gets.

Laugh it up, monkey boy. The public is getting pretty tired of the GOP games. There's nothing noble about their negotiating strategy and everybody knows it. Frankly, I'd like to see the tax cut go down in flames, because I'm pretty certain the GOP will take the brunt of the blame. As well they should.

Playing games like pushing a decision on the Keystone project because he doesn't want to choose between unions and environmentalists?

Games like allowing the NLRB to be used as a bargaining chip against Boeing?

Games like Holder saying lying requires intent so them sending a false memo to the Congress doesn't count?

Games like choosing winners in Green energy?

All politicians do is play games. That's their life. We just have to hope that we haven't granted them enough power to kill off all the pawns...

The last cartoon in his bio is a great example of Republican "humor" - no original thought, ripped off from a liberal-leaning cartoon, no humor and totally lacks internal consistency - e.g. Livable Cities and Energy Independence = Destroy Standard of Living.

Republicans decide that they're for billions of dollars in infrastructure so long as the money goes to their owners in the oil industry.

Republicans decide that letting a tax cut expire isn't a tax increase, so long as it doesn't have any effect on their donors.

I like the Reagan/Obama Read Each Other's Libraries one.
It's true! Part of Obama's book is hilarious. Assuming you're dead, of course, and so have no stake in the future of the country. Or that you find humor in Republicans thinking up the most bizarre logical fallacies against him.
Also true and for the first time actually shown in illustration, the Republicans consider Reagan a holy figure these days. (although Reagan reading Obama's biography would be a lot like Jesus reading Paul's...unrecognizable!)
Hey, boy, where's other prominent Republicans such as Herbert Hoover, Richard Milhaus Nixon, Gerald Ford, Joe McCarthy?

Ooh, vacation jokes? How edgy!

Now do the 57 states one then bring it on home with a teleprompter joke.

/What passes for humor among the RW is the real joke, of course.

On Topic?

From Mitch McConnell's "one term president" declaration to Rush Limbaugh in early days conceding that he wanted Obama (and by extension America) to Fail to Grover Norquist's suicidal anti-tax pledge being taken seriously by a shiat load of GOP congresscritters and candidates to tying the usually routine debt ceiling vote into a game of chicken with the international economy to unprecedented obstructionism in terms of filling vacancies in government to cowardly secret holds in the Senate it has become readily and painfully apparent that playing games with the lives of the country and it's people purely for political gain or to appease a 1%er agenda is all the GOP have left.

And it aint enough.

/Run on sentences *do* tend to run on.

This isn't going to make people suddenly support Republicans, who should have been working towards jobs with Obama when he was elected, instead of spending almost a whole presidential term roadblocking EVERYTHING.

They've seen exactly how popular that obstructionist tactic is making them, and they're starting to regret it.

Because we all know the GOP treats everything Obama says like its Opposite Day.

On that vein, I think Obama should come out on a press conference to announce that he supports breathing.
