If we want to get technical, and I do, the Vancouver riot picture really has nothing to do with sports.

They are not athletes. That is not the venue.

That's just Vancouver fans being butthurt morons.

This pic was taken during a game last spring. I know I'm a total homer, but it's a pretty cool pic. The dude with the hops is only 6ft tall, and had just blocked a shot.

I watched the wrestling National Championship and Anthony Robles was amazing.

Nothing but respect for the photographers. I've shot two big soccer matches in the last month (one was a cup final, the other was the last round of J-League and saw the winning team get crowned champions) and sport photography is surprisingly harder than I expected coming in as a music photog.

High barrier of entry for the gear alone. Gotta love those $10000 lenses...

Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadu: Pretty crappy list. Only a handful were actually quality photos. The rest were just your standard shots of big events.

Must've been great to shoot that game on the Carl Vinson - every picture you take is going to look pretty awesome with that sunset in the background of a basketball game.

I was going to say that one, but I think it might've been shot in 2010.

If it was shot in 2011, then I'm actually outraged that it's not in there, because at least half of those were run-of-the-mill shots or were likely enhanced. That one just had perfect timing.
