Well, it's Stockton, so it's not like he'd notice the smell.

He probably wouldn't have noticed that she was cold and just laid there. He was used to that.

If it is a homicide, it would be Stockton's 56th homicide this year, topping the previous grim record of 55, set back in 1992

It's important to have goals.

Reminds me of an old joke I heard.

Two old men are sitting on a park bench chatting.
First guy says "So how's your wife?"
Second guy says "I think she's dead."
First guy says "That's terrible! Why do you say that?"
Second guy says "well the sex is the same but the dishes are piling up."

If I remember correctly, it was some Chinese guy whose wife or mother died and he kept their body with him in his apartment. Not sure if that's actually this guy's story - someone claimed it was and posted it on /b/.

Then again, it was /b/.

The Big Valley was set in and near Stockton. Cool Hand Luke was filmed in and near Stockton.

I was living there that year. Yeah, that was pretty much my low point...

Remember the Record had a contest for the city's new slogan, and the winner was: "Stockton - sunny days, bloody nights"
