If I remember correctly, it was some Chinese guy whose wife or mother died and he kept their body with him in his apartment. Not sure if that's actually this guy's story - someone claimed it was and posted it on /b/.

I was living there that year. Yeah, that was pretty much my low point...

Remember the Record had a contest for the city's new slogan, and the winner was: "Stockton - sunny days, bloody nights"
