I thought there was only one Dane. Dane Cook. But if there are others... Yes. They need to be shot into space.

/It's the only way to be sure.

You know what happens when you put Danes in space : they drink beer and make sandwiches and sing songs.

You know, I don't think this Space Race is anywhere near as fair as the last one.

These guys are cool. When you use your homebuilt submarine to tow the homebuilt launchpad for your homebuilt LOX/paraffin hybrid-engine rocket out to a sea launch - well, it beats what I can build in my garage.

I want them to be successful, I have followed their development eagerly since they started with rockets...

Then after their first failed launch attempt, they demonstrate that they have not managed to figure out how to make their rockets go in the *Up* direction.

Now they working on an even Bigger rocket? I love what they are doing, but I am worried that they are going to kill someone horribly, and make it that much harder for other "amateur" groups to attempt human rocket flights.

As technology develops, advanced design tools, manufacturing and materials become more accessible to the general public. What they are trying to do will be possible soon. I just hope that they don't manage to make it illegal before then.
