I thought Subby meant speed limit, and that the woman was driving at 200mph.

That's one Grandma who would run over a reindeer.

She almost ran over a cop, pleaded guilty, and she's appealing losing her license for a year?

Wagga Wagga

Just wanted to type that.

True Story.

30 years ago I worked for a company with a funny name. Asked around to find out how it got that name, wasn't a family name, or local town, just strange. Turns out the founder took a globe, spun it, and put a pin in it. And that's how I came to work at Canberra Industries in the middle of Connecticut, US.

So the legal limit down under is .05?

Or is their math different down there?

Oh yeah, this is in Australia. The limit is .05. Fascists.

Harry Freakstorm: Eye haff perfomed sain brugery while drunken. On meeself!

I saw Anthony Hopkins fry up pieces of Ray Liotta's brain so I got the gist.

inkblot: I thought Subby meant speed limit, and that the woman was driving at 200mph.

Me too. I was picturing this old lady sleeping behind the wheel with her foot mashing down on the accelerator, which would be more scary than impressive.

Was she driving a brand new shiny red super-stock Dodge?

At her age it likely only takes half a drink to reach four times of the legal limit

As someone who has worked in the retirement industry, this does not surprise me. Worked there for 23 years. Lovely little place called The West is Golden. Lot's of cool and nice folks, but there were a few that were not. I remember one lady (87 if I recall correctly) that was 90% blind. She continued to drive. Every time I saw her heading for the door in her hoverround I tried to stop her. The bad day hit pretty quickly with her. She wasn't even living in the facility for a year and she hit a college girl. It was horrible. Apparently the girl she hit was a cheerleader/model and it really messed up her face. Lesson learned: If you are over 65, get a mandatory eye exam. If you fail, stop driving.

Nah, they should be forced to taking the driving test every so often.

Most places have "driving under the influence" laws. If they want to get you they will.

Next up, tired drivers.

You will need to keep a log of your sleeping times.
