The only time Eli the Bitey sings is when he wants food in the morning..starting with teh body walk.." Mew? Meow! Prrrrupff?" Wowowowow! Roughly translated as," pardon me. My food bowl appears to be empty. Do you think perchance that you could leave your wallow of fiber covers and descend to the kitchen, where my crunchies and gooshie food reside? Thank you sooo much!

I hope, in retrospect that I will not regret this decision...not sure if I want yodeling cats.

I loooved my Grandma's Yorkshire pudding when I was a kid... mmm. Never had anything like it since. I sure miss it. I think it was my favourite part of Christmas dinner.



I just asked my husband, who is actually from Yorkshire, whether they call it "Yorkshire pudding" over there, or is it just "pudding"? He laughed his ass off. "Of course we call it Yorkshire pudding, duh!" He forgave me for asking though, because to him English muffins are just "muffins". If he writes muffins on the shopping list, I have to make him specify English muffins or North American muffins (and apparently what we know as muffins here, they call "buns", just to make it more confusing). That's OK though. I still love him. :)

Caturday? Where?

angrycrank: This is Nymeria. She is my most recent foster kitten and went back on Monday. She was spayed, went into the adoption area today, and her picture is already down. I miss her, but I hope that means she's now in a great permanent home.

That little one drove me nuts. The second night I had her, she managed to hide so well that I couldn't find her, even though I looked for hours. I was terrified she had gotten out or gotten squished or something. She eventually came out and walked on my face at 4:30 am. She was big on bouncing off my sleeping face while speeding around the apartment at night.

The kitty kissing her is Coal; she's the one who actually fosters the kittens. I just open the cans. The bottom one is Coal with Matthew, a previous kitten who's in a great home with a family who loves to cuddle him. These pics would love captions!

Caturday "regular schedule": Caturday runs from sometime Thursday evening(for TotalFarkers), posts to Main at 8AM on Saturday morning, and runs until sometime very early on Tuesday morning. please do check it out on Sunday and Sunday night as well, as some of the best stuff, late answers to questions, and of course, some very good CAD^TM will show up later than the typical Saturday afternoon.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN LURKING AND NOT POSTING:
take the plunge! post some "blanks" of YOUR kitty and see how fun it is to see your kitty in lights and your family's kitty might get a fun or silly caption of his or her very own! a detailed "how to post pics on Caturday and on fark in general for dummies" page can be found here (new window). once you get the hang of it, posting pics is very easy, but it can seem daunting if you haven't ever done it before. take a look at that web page and hopefully it will make sense. there's even a bonus section that shows how easy it is to caption your own pics.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A NEW KITTY THAT NEEDS A NAME:
introduce your new charge(s)! perhaps we can have a naming "contest". post a pic of your kitty and let everyone make suggestions. some of the ones Caturday comes up with are hilarious and often very appropriate. my guy, "LittleOne", recently got his new long name "Jester Lord Fluffy Bottom" (partly mine and partly another lovely farker's - take credit you-know-who!).

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A KITTY WHO IS UNDER THE WEATHER:
please post details and pose questions. I make it whenever I make a chicken or a turkey or a roast. It is ALWAYS there for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is a little challenging at our altitude, but I found that if I add an extra egg it almost always comes out perfect.

I tried to get a good Christmas pic of Wentworth. This is the best one of the 6 I took. Cats and hats just don't mix. Well, at least my cat anyway.



And on another note... he wouldn't even let me finish the tree before he started to tear it apart...
