No, just hold it level. When I was in ROTC, they used to punish us by having us hold a rifle above our heads for an hour or more. Your arms will be like jelly at the end of that.

Hey, Professmitter, the Lincoln Memorial is in Washington DC, and is distinctly sans sword. Lincoln's Tomb is in Springfield, IL, and SHOULD have a sword.

Just to help you out, in other recent US History events, George Washington's white horse was gray, his wooden teeth were hippopotamus and ivory, and no one is buried in Grant's tomb.
