Apparently a suspect opened fire on a police officer during a traffic stop, the officer may or may not be dead, the suspect may or may not have been injured by return fire, but the suspect is still on the loose and assumed armed. This much has been confirmed by VT.

And in both cases, the citizens in question had to leave school grounds to go get their weapons out of their cars. Funny how we never hear about that.....
