Just another Tebow hater writing an article.
Also, why is there all this fuss about Denver winning games? They're still not going to go anywhere.

They could end up winning the AFC West.

Well then, Tebow better pick up his defense. I'd really like to see him get a few more sacks to help hold the opponents to 7 or fewer points so he can throw the lateral the ball to himself to rush for the touchdown.

plastic_cow: They're still not going to go anywhere.

They'll make the playoffs this year. Everyone is in bad enough shape and a read offense is so unheard of in the NFL that they can get by. Plus the rest of their schedule isn't that bad.

They'll make the playoffs, and maybe even win the WC. But either Baltimore or NE is going to have the time to sit down and get some kind of read strategy going, and they'll stop there.

And next year, when everyone will prepare for it? Broncos will suck.

not to mention how Fox has improved the defense.

John Fox's dad was a Navy SEAL.

And that always works out so well for the Chargers.

I like how the NFC East has one 7 win team (Dallas) and a 6 win team (NYG), but the thing is, they play each other twice down the stretch and have some interesting games besides. While Dallas could hit 10 wins, i doubt they will.

the point being, for all the shiat the NFC West has taken the last few years with 9-win champions (Arizona that one year) and obviously last year's Seattle with what, 8 wins, people were like, "ZOMG NO WAY THEY SHOULD GET TO HOST A PLAYOFF GAME! THE NFC WEST SUCKS! THIS IS BULLshiat THE NFL SHOULD HAVE IT BE 10 WINS MINIMUM!"

Shoe. how's that other foot treating you?

2011-12-08 12:48:52 PM
Seattle won the division last year with a 7-9 record. 7-9! The NFC West has been gerenally terrible the better part of the last decade. Just because the 49ers decided to play ball this year doesn't change that.

I do agree that a 9-7 division winner with a non-division winner ahead of it in record probably should not host a playoff game. However, right now, there are only 3 teams that could possibly do that, Atlanta, Detroit, and Chicago. I think Dallas finishes the year better than those three.

They were 7-9 last year.

And yes, the Broncos have caught amazingly lucky schedule breaks -- the six teams Tebow has beaten so far were 19-30 coming in and three of them had either lost their starting QB or did during the game.

Hm ... wonder if this could have something to do with it.

I'd pick New England to pull this one apart first, only because they figured out Miami's wildcat.

John Fox, the defense, the offensive line... all of them are just as accountable for it as Tebow.

He doesn't really win games for them, but he doesn't lose them either. He keeps them in it. Which is pretty much the key.

And that was before he was drafted.

Oh yes, the article wherein now Reilly and Fox pretend that they were on board with starting Tebow all along.

/oh, and while we're giving credit to Fox for the defense, I think that probably has more to do with Mr. Dumervil not being on IR the whole year this year AND getting Mr. Miller more than it has to do with Fox.

2011-12-08 02:27:43 PM
Of course... it is all just luck right? I don't know why so many people have a problem with the fact that Tebow prayed for success and God delivered. Some people should turn those cynical hate beams back on themselves sometime.

Oh, For Farks sake. DIAF Denver.

This is where Tebow made his famous "As iron sharpens iron, men sharpen men" pregame speech. (After which, Denver went out and fell behind 10-0).

lol. It's not that famous of a speech, this is the first time I've ever heard about it. But I know the proverb (27;17).

2011-12-08 02:31:07 PM
Tebow does an excellent job of keeping the football to himself. You see guys like Aaron Rodgers (DISCOUNT DOUBLECHECK) spreading the ball around to 8 or 10 different receivers each game. Not Tebow.

FTA: Since Fox put in the "Te-Bone," Denver is 5-0, 6-1 with Tebow overall, and Tebow is the most controversial 'bow since botox.

Forwarded to a friend, who simply hasn't yet given up on the notion that somehow, some way, some day, Tebow WILL sleep with him.

Now I'm gonna go laugh at his butthurt little soul....

Is it ok to wear a Tim Tebow jersey during church?

*one paragraph later*

"It's about how Fox revamped the way the team plays entirely based around Tebow."

Also, it's more effective to sharpen iron with something a little harder than iron. Otherwise your sharpener will wear out faster. As far as men, you could sharpen them with.... ummm... hard men?

I thought it was pretty awesome on Sunday when Tebow intercepted a rookie quarterback, then on the following play he long snapped, set the hold, and kicked the game winning field goal. He is just a monster and is EVERYWHERE on the field!

2011-12-08 03:14:47 PM
Considering his averages are the lowest of any of the other starting QBs with the exception of rushing yds/g, I'm guessing its more a case of the D playing their asses off.

Requirement for ESPN employment, I'd assume.
